The Grand Bank is a historic 1920s-style wedding venue situated in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. Originally the First National Bank, the repurposed Main Street building has been renovated into a nostalgic, classic, and elegant event space. Featuring white marble entrance pillars, the original vault, a custom photo booth, and teller stations turned into movable bars, this is a truly unique venue. Owner Ashlee Martinelli has a passion for creating memorable experiences, and owning her own event space is a dream come true. She also founded a wedding and event planning/management company and combines its services with The Grand Bank to offer couples personalized event planning.

Facilities and Capacity

The main area inside The Grand Bank gives couples a large, ballroom-style space to host their main event. In addition to the main space, couples can use the teller stations that have been reclaimed as movable bars, as well as the custom photo booth created from the original safe deposit box viewing rooms. Wedding parties are free to use the bridal suite to get ready for the event. There is wheelchair access into the venue as well as plenty of parking. The facility welcomes bookings for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and elopements, as well as bridal showers, engagement parties, and rehearsal dinners.

Services Offered

Covered by liability insurance, The Grand Bank offers couples the services of an event planner from day one of their booking. In addition to planning leading up to the wedding, they can also provide coordination for the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. The event packages allow couples to choose their own outside vendors while utilizing the facility to create their perfect wedding day. The venue offers the assistance of their experienced staff to help ensure each detail is accounted for, as well as supplying set up and clean up service. Couples are welcome to use The GRand Bank's tables, chairs, and linens for their event, as well as the services of certified bartenders. While the bartenders will set up, serve, and break down the bar space, couples can bring in their own outside alcohol to serve to guests.
