My experience with Colarusso's La Palazzo was nothing but the best. We had 200 guests at our wedding, including about 15 kids. Every meal that came out was cooked perfectly, and was hot. We met with Chelsea during the planning process, and she was integral to our planning. She had very good suggestions, and went above and beyond in decorating the space for us. The venue supplies vases for centerpieces and assembles them as well. They let us do two signature drinks and were very accommodating. The Colarusso's were very organized throughout the entire process, and the wedding was more than I could have asked for. All of the guests had wonderful comments as well.

I was married (ceremony and reception) at Colarusso's La Palazzo in 2010. It was the most amazing day of my life! Joe and Sharon are the nicest people in the whole world and they go ABOVE AND BEYOND to give you a perfect party whether it be a wedding, shower, prom, birthday party, etc. My husband and I had several meetings with Joe and Sharon to perfect every detail of my wedding. They are honest, fair, and very eager to give everyone the party they deserve within their individual budget. I enjoyed working with Sharon so much during the planning of my wedding that I began working there and quickly discovered how dedicated Joe, Sharon, and their whole family is to the hall.

In response to the previous post (The ONLY one who did not give five stars):

It is not Joe and Sharon's fault that there were several confusing issues during the planning of your wedding.

1. You had three different wedding dates, and kept changing it, which many places would charge for or even refuse, but not Joe and Sharon. They moved it. THREE TIMES!!!!

2. The timeline that Joe and Sharon had was IDENTICAL to the timeline that the DJ was given, and DJ Pete said he was willing to provide his contract to prove it. The bride changed the timeline and did not notify anyone, not even the wedding guests!

I have worked many, many, many weddings at Colarusso's La Palazzo, and I can't remember one that didn't go beyond the ending time. I have never seen Sharon speak to ANYONE in any way other than kindly, and I have absolutely NEVER seen a her or Joe rush or force anyone out. Infact, Sharon wants to add a bar and patio so that wedding guests will not have to leave, they can stay there!! Everyone that works at the hall knows that they are not allowed to turn the lights up too brightly or quickly after the party is over, they can not remove the centerpieces or linens either. Joe and Sharon are extremely kind and generous people,and they give 100% to their hall, however, there are some things that are out of their control and should NOT be blamed on them. The bride needs to be organized,Joe and Sharon can only work with what they are given.

Colarusso's La Palazzo is an overall exceptional venue in all aspects. Our wedding reception was held there in late August 2009 and we were satisfied with every aspect of their service. Our guests have not stopped commenting on how beautiful the reception was. Gary Wilson is fantastic to work with: professional, polite, organized, attentive to every detail and our personal wishes. He personally waited on us during the reception and was always nearby if we needed to ask him something. My husband and I are 100% satisfied with Colarusso's services. We will definitely recommend Colarusso's to our family and friends!

I couldnt have asked for a better reception! Gary Wilson is wonderful to work with! My guests are raving about the reception (and especially the food!) to this day!

The reception hall is great! We had floor length table cloths and chair covers with sashes to step things up a notch. Everything looked beautiful! Gary Wilson did a great job working with us and making sure our day was exactly as we wanted. The food was absolutely fabulous! Our guests are still talking about the food more than two weeks later! I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to have a wedding of 200 people or less.

Colarusso's LaPalazzo was a great place for a wedding reception! The place looked great and the food was delicious!
The only downfall is that it is extremely hard to get in touch with the Colarussos, since they run other restaurants in the area. The owner was late for all of our meetings, but he provided excellent service which more than made up for it. While I was nervous about the reception decor, because I didn't really get a chance to sit down with the owners and discuss it, they took the decorations that I brought and made everything look absolutely beautiful! So brides, don't worry about the lack of responsiveness from the Colarussos, they have everything under control!!

I loved every single thing about Colarusso's!! Joe and Sharon were so easy to work with and everything looked beautiful that day! The one thing that is hard is to get a hold of them. They are extremely busy people, but don't worry --- they do whatever you ask them to --- even if you feel like they aren't really giving you the time you deserve, they are - and it turns our perfect!!! We loved everything about our wedding day - and EVERYTHING about our reception!! Thank you Joe and Sharon!!!

Original contract was ceremony on site , the extended 1.5 hr cocktail hour (due to leaving for pictures) reception from 4pm-9pm (5 hr reception). The price charged was 57.00 pp full open bar. Excellent price!
The interior of building is beautiful when it is all set up on your wedding day. I could not have asked for anything different in that department. Sharron set up our Candy Favor Bar, amazed is how I could explain it. Ceremony was on site and we were a little worried not being able to see the set up ahead of time, but it was so pretty. The food was over all >good. A few of our guest had some complaints. The wait staff was very polite.
The BIGGEST PROBLEMS that we had was communication with Joe and Sharron. We met with them 1 week before to go over last minute details at this time we were told to have our cake brought on Saturday 3/24, (Wednesday) 5 days before wedding we spoke on the phone about time lines. I wrote all time lines down to give to Dj (Pete Bayo>>> Great DJ).
THIS IS WERE IT WENT BAD....................
At the very end of the night when just a few of us were there getting our things around to leave, a staff member asked me how it all went. I said it was fine. I asked if the owners were here the whole time and was told yes. I was asked if I would like to speak with Sharron and I told them no, I'll call and speak to her later. While I was checking the lobby for any items that might be left behind, I was approached by Sharron. Sharron was not a happy person..... and started our conversation off with "of-course I'm here, Joe and I are always here for every event" ..... she proceeded to be snippy with me and ramble on about giving 200% to this wedding, She had a wedding the night before so they broke down that one and started setting up for ours and was setting up till 3 am 3/25, then came back in at 7am to finish, "I missed church today, because of being here for the wedding set up ect". Finally I stopped her and asked her why she was giving me a hard time? I should be the one upset.......she asked me why..... I told her 1- because I don't understand why Joe called me on 3/24 asking why we dropped off the cake, when he is the one who told us to bring it that day. 2- why did he call 45 minutes before ceremony to tell us that the times in contract were incorrect and he was changing them...... and that he was ending our reception at 8 pm , not 9 pm. Of-course we couldn't deal/argue with that at the time due to walking out the door to get down there for the ceremony on time..... from what Im understanding ( I still need to contact DJ to confirm) the DJ was told to play last song at 7:30pm this way everyone would clear out by 8 pm. I had guest approaching me at 7:30 asking why it was ending 1 + hours early. After that I just walked away...... and we left
SO if you choose to have your reception here keep in mind some of our problems............
This place went above and beyond in appearance, the staff was great but I think the owners need to hire a coordinator to sit with customers, take there phone calls and deal with the problems.

If I could give no stars I would, this is by far the worst venue out there, the owners better think twice about letting their daughter handle things because she will put thathe business in the ground, it's 4 months before my wedding and here I had to book elsewhere, if you were smart you would stay far away from this so called
