The Gideon Putnam is an historic hotel in the nested in the beautiful Saratoga Spa State Park and just a couple of miles from downtown Saratoga Springs. This venue houses several beautiful spaces for weddings from 50 to 250 guests behind its classic facade. This stunning hotel is just 40 minutes from the heart of downtown Albany.
Facilities and Capacity
Up to 250 guests can share in the couple's special day at The Gideon Putnam. A wedding ceremony on the lawn provides a backdrop of the historic red brick building with white columns and accents. Inside, The Ballroom, with chandeliers overhead, sets the tone of the night with romantic lighting. The Arches meets guests with exposed brick walls lined with floor-to-ceiling arched windows looking at the forest outside.

The culinary team at The Gideon Putnam serves American cuisine and can meet dietary needs such as gluten free, kosher, lactose free, no pork, nut free, vegan and vegetarian requests. In-house bar service includes bartenders, a champagne toast, premium liquor, open bar and house beers, wine and liquor for couples and their guests. They offer the following catering styles:
Accommodations
Couples enjoy a complimentary overnight suite with The Gideon Putnam following their reception. Group rates for guests are also available through the hotel. The suites and rooms are decorated with a mixture of modern and traditional furniture. Pet-friendly rooms are also available.

Awesome Venue!!
Working with the staff at the Gideon was a bride’s dream come true! Stacey was awesome to work with and quick to get back to us for all our questions and wonderings. Food was amazing for the tasting and day of and the ballroom was beautiful for our special day!!

The Gideon Putnam was a great place to have our wedding. Jennifer McVay and the banquet manager Sandy went above and beyond our expectations. The food is fabulous! My husband and I are so glad we picked The Gideon Putnam to celebrate our big day!

Sandy Makis and her team were awesome! The Gideon was so beautiful and romantic and fun. I can not say enough how wonderful it was to get married at the Gideon. They were so easy to work with and willing to help and do anything I needed. I can't wait to go back for our anniversary! Seriously happy bride!

The Gideon Putnam is a beautiful place for a wedding or family event. I've captured numerous events there over the years. Their new ballroom is nicely updated and their outside views are stunning for photos. I highly recommend them for your venue location. OOTOphoto looks forward to working there again.
