I LOVED my wedding cake! I heard about the French Confection from a family member who lives in the area and has gotten pastries and such from the bakery. At first I was a bit hesitant about getting a cake from them, but the consultation convinced me it was the right choice. We did out consultation with Karen, the sales woman and wife to the head baker. Karen welcomed us warmly and it felt like I was meeting with a friend not a stranger. I went with my mother, sister, grandmother and I. Karen was happy to accommodate such a large tasting party, and even let my kid sister take home the extra cake. We tried 20 something frostings and cakes separately, and she advised us on cake combos. She looked at the dozens of cake pictures I'd brought and helped me come up with something that I loved, a perfect unique combo of all the pictures. She gave me practical advise on sizing and suggested a less expensive way for me to serve all my guests. Guests were raving about the cake and I had a few extra slices sent up to the honeymoon suite cause I just couldn't get enough! Each cake layer was a different combination of frostings/icing/gnache/creame and cake. I am so glad I went with the French Confection for my cake, I love supporting local business, especially when they are professional, friendly, and provide a fantastic product.
