About

The Finch House is a wedding and event venue in Thomasville, North Carolina. Our Renaissance Revival mansion is 7,000 square feet and was built in 1921. It sits on 1.5 acres of land in the middle of historic downtown Thomasville.

Facility and Capacity

The first floor of the mansion has four main rooms for entertaining and can accommodate 100 guests. The library features hand-carved rosewood walls and trim. It can accommodate 70 guests. There are two large master bedrooms on the second floor. One is a bridal suite and features a mirrored walk-in closet. The other master bedroom is a groom’s suite and features a lounge area and pool table. The mansion is equipped with a full-service catering kitchen and a separate entrance. The backyard features a large cobblestone terrace and is covered by a large tent. The outdoor terrace can accommodate 200 guests. The Carriage House has a full-service bar and lounge area and an indoor dance floor. The property also has a private parking lot to accommodate all your guests.

Services Offered

The Finch House weekend package allows access to the house and grounds from Friday at 4 p.m. to 10 pm and Saturday at noon to 10 p.m. This allows for a rehearsal dinner, decor set up, and vendor access before your wedding day begins. The weekend package includes tables and chairs for 100 guests. You can also rent the outdoor area and carriage house for an additional fee. The Finch House can host your rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, engagement party, showers, and other wedding events. Their event coordinator can work with you to ensure all your details are in place for a perfect wedding day. They are a full-service venue so that you can enjoy your stress-free day.

A Stunning and Versatile Venue with Incredible Staff

The Finch House was an absolutely gorgeous setting for my bridal shower! The historic charm and beautiful details created such a special and elegant atmosphere that our guests loved. The space is so versatile and allowed us to bring our vision to life perfectly. Andrew was amazing to work with throughout the entire planning process! He was so kind, professional, and truly dedicated to making sure everything went smoothly. His support and attention to detail made us feel so at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy the day! We are so thankful to Andrew and the entire team at The Finch House and would highly recommend this stunning venue to anyone looking to host a beautiful and memorable event!

Finch House Micro Wedding

If you are looking for a beautiful, yet affordable venue with a top knotch owner then look no further. Andrew was so accommodating and treated my sons/family with love and respect. Finding a safe space for a same sex marriage in NC is very difficult. Andrew and his team made their day so special and are forever grateful.

Perfect wedding venue

Not only was this venue absolutely stunning but the staff was just as great Andrew made everything so easy for me this whole journey and on wedding day was the real mvp helping with nerves and everything and Angela she was my coordinator and shewas so nice and helpful and made sure everything went according to plan I could have picked a better venue or staff to make our day so perfect if you live in the triad area please give the finch house a shot you won’t be disappointed!

Wonderful Venue for your special day!

The Historic T Austin Finch House is a wonderful venue for your special day. Our son and his beautiful bride were married here a few weeks ago. The architecture is breathtaking and the venue provides a bridal and a groom suite for both bridal parties to get ready, indoor and outdoor ceremony sites, a commercial kitchen and a beautiful carriage house! The local associates and vendors that are recommended did not disappoint and were excellent. The attention to detail and guidance of Andrew from the moment the venue was booked until the end of the evening of the day of the wedding was beyond our expectations. Susanna, the day of rehearsal and wedding coordinator is a delight to work with! We highly recommend the T. Austin Finch House for your special event!

Special charm!

You will be so glad you booked this beautiful home that Andrew restored. The attention to detail historically is also very evident in the attention you will receive as you plan your event with Andrew and Susanna, the day of Coordinator. I am the Mom of the Bride, and if I could give them 10+stars, I would! Everything from recommendations for excellent Vendors to making your day stress free, makes this a clear choice in booking an event here that you and your guests will be able to experience the special charm of the TA Austin Finch House as we did. A breath of fresh air!

The Finch House was a breath of fresh air! As a COVID bride I had endured my fair share of postponing, rebooking, waiting, hoping, and almost throwing in the towel and giving up celebrating our big day the way we had envisioned. From start to finish Andrew was attentive to every need, and timely in each response to any questions we had. Our planning process with The Finch House was so refreshing. We felt cared for and important. If you're the type of bride that values communication and relationally oriented people book this venue. You will not be disappointed! The beauty of the venue speaks for itself, while the staff and management go above and beyond in customer care and execution.

Best Venue

This venue is so beautiful! We had our dream wedding thanks to Susanna & Andrew at the Finch House!! The house is so beautiful and has an amazing history to it! The new outside renovation was so amazing! I would highly recommend this venue to any bride/groom that wants a different, elegant and beautiful wedding!!!
