Dorian String Quartet was great to work with. They had many songs to choose from and allowed us to choose all music for ceremony and cocktail hour. It was a crazy day with a lot of unexpected rain, but they still played and sounded beautiful. They were also very quick to respond to emails, which we appreciate!

We hired the Dorian String Quartet for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Alexis was our point of contact and she was extremely easy to get a hold of and a pleasure to work with. They already have an extensive repertoire of songs in their catalog, but we loved that we were able to pick a few new ones for the quartet to learn ahead of our big day, just to make things even more personal and meaningful. Dorian String Quartet was an absolute pleasure to work with and an even bigger joy to listen to. They added so much ambiance and really helped set the stage for our ceremony. We also had them perform for our cocktail hour. They had such a great list of songs for us to choose from and were willing to learn the ones that they didn’t already know. We really can’t overstate what a joy it was to work with Alexis. She was so accommodating, polite and prompt in her replies. If there was any complaints we could muster up, it’s that their preview files on their site don’t do their live performances any justice. They performed all of our music so well it may as well have been a studio recording. Can’t recommend Dorian String Quartet enough for anyone looking to enhance their ceremony and/or cocktail hour with beautiful music.

I am a Covid Bride and we had scheduled Dorian Quartet to play at our wedding (which was supposed to be in September of 2020). Unfortunately, like many couples, we made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding due to the pandemic. Dorian Quartet was so responsive and understanding and worked with us to remedy a situation that was beyond our control. We sincerely appreciated the grace and professionalism. I would highly recommend - these are good people!!

Alexis and the Dorian String Quarter are incredibly professional, flexible, and respond quickly to any questions we had! The biggest advice I can give to future brides (and especially all the Coronabrides!) is to pick vendors who you feel good about and know will do right by you when unexpected obstacles arise. I assure you the Dorian String Quartet will treat you like family and is a wonderful trustworthy vendor who will work with you through these challenging times. Alexis also always answers emails within a few hours which is one of my personal favorite vendor qualities. Look no further - these musicians are the best!

The Dorian Quartet’s music was absolutely gorgeous! They were self-sufficient, quick to respond throughout the wedding planning process, and they learned three requested songs for us. Many of our guests commented to us how much they enjoyed their music and the Quartet’s wide selection of songs made for a great playlist. We hope to work with them again in the future!

Alexis from Dorian was very easy to work with, organized, and provided a huge list of songs to choose from. She set the mood of our Onteora Mountain House wedding to sophisticated and magical. My vision for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and the specific details I requested were all carried out meticulously. For example, I wanted to walk down the mountain steps to one song, and have another song start playing for my dad and I to walk down the aisle to. Also affordably priced.
