I am a Covid Bride and we had scheduled Dorian Quartet to play at our wedding (which was supposed to be in September of 2020). Unfortunately, like many couples, we made the difficult decision to cancel our wedding due to the pandemic. Dorian Quartet was so responsive and understanding and worked with us to remedy a situation that was beyond our control. We sincerely appreciated the grace and professionalism. I would highly recommend - these are good people!! -

Dorian String Quartet was an absolute pleasure to work with and an even bigger joy to listen to. They added so much ambiance and really helped set the stage for our ceremony. We also had them perform for our cocktail hour. They had such a great list of songs for us to choose from and were willing to learn the ones that they didn’t already know. We really can’t overstate what a joy it was to work with Alexis. She was so accommodating, polite and prompt in her replies. If there was any complaints we could muster up, it’s that their preview files on their site don’t do their live performances any justice. They performed all of our music so well it may as well have been a studio recording. Can’t recommend Dorian String Quartet enough for anyone looking to enhance their ceremony and/or cocktail hour with beautiful music. -

Alexis and the Dorian String Quarter are incredibly professional, flexible, and respond quickly to any questions we had! The biggest advice I can give to future brides (and especially all the Coronabrides!) is to pick vendors who you feel good about and know will do right by you when unexpected obstacles arise. I assure you the Dorian String Quartet will treat you like family and is a wonderful trustworthy vendor who will work with you through these challenging times. Alexis also always answers emails within a few hours which is one of my personal favorite vendor qualities. Look no further - these musicians are the best! -

The Dorian String Quartet is simply amazing! Alexis was wonderful to work with. She was incredibly responsive and patient with our requests and she really knew how to help guide us towards what we wanted.
We knew we wanted more modern music played during our ceremony and cocktail hour and they definitely delivered! Including two songs that they learned at our request!
They really helped to make our day special and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone considering a string quartet.
I even had a few of my guy friends mention to me how great they were and that they recognized the songs they were playing!
You won't be disappointed if you have them at your wedding! -

Olesya Sent on 10/13/2018Alexis from Dorian was very easy to work with, organized, and provided a huge list of songs to choose from. She set the mood of our Onteora Mountain House wedding to sophisticated and magical. My vision for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and the specific details I requested were all carried out meticulously. For example, I wanted to walk down the mountain steps to one song, and have another song start playing for my dad and I to walk down the aisle to. Also affordably priced. If you want a string quartet to add sophisticated elegance to your wedding, you’ve found them!

It was a pleasure coordinating and working with the team and musicians at Dorian! They were such a special added bonus to the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour. The list of songs they had available to play for our wedding had so many options that it made it easy for us to have a vast amount of songs played. They were all very professional and lovely to have around! -

User2215127 Sent on 07/07/2015In a word, outstanding. Alexis worked with us to come up with a song list for our Church Mass wedding. The Dorian played beautifully for 20 minute before the start of the wedding – and transitioned seamlessly into playing three different pieces: for the seating of the mothers, the processions of the bridesmaids, and the procession of the bride. They accompanied the bride’s friend, who sang Ave Maria (they graciously agreed to a quick practice with her, 45 minutes prior to the event), and played during the lighting of the unity candle. From the prelude to the recessional, the Dorian were so completely musically adept – and added beautifully to our wedding.
