DO NOT order any cakes from this place. We had so much trouble with them. First we ordered my shower cake from them. We told them exactly how we wanted it to look & say. We got a cake that looked NOTHING like what I asked for, not even close, & they added a word onto what we had told them. We asked for purple icing, it was pink & white. We wanted it to say "Future Mrs. Mitchell," & they added 'the.' We said we wanted dark purple roses & we got pink & white hearts with a cheap plastic "engagement ring," stuck in the middle of this big white glob of icing that was supposed to look like a flower. Besides all that it tasted VERY good.
Well then we ordered the wedding cake. First off let me say they charged us $50 just to drive from Rusk, TX to Palestine, TX & then back. When they delievered the cake the day of it looked nothing like I had invisioned, although they did not deviate from my deisgn idea this time. The icing wasn't smooth AT ALL. Then a couple hours later when we got to cutting the cake it was LEANING bad(only a 3 tier cake). When my Mom took it apart to start serving it there was no base on the bottom of the middle tier so it just sunk into the bottom layer. And this cake tasted HORRIBLE, we didn't even keep the top tier to freeze & eat later, it tasted so bad. Almost the entire bottom layer got thrown away.
After the wedding we tried to talk to the lady, Karen is her name, & she denied that the cake never would have leaned, said there was a base on the miffle tier & also said the icing was smooth. We then showed her pictures from my photographer which clearly showed it leaning & non smooth & she STILL tried to deny it. Finally she said she would, "split her profit," with us. She then said she only made $50 profit, this cake cost us $300, and she claims she only made $50?!?! We tried to agrue but got nowhere & finally agreed to, "split her profit," & get $25 back. When went down to her business she tried to argue with me again & get out of it. She told me she was still upset that she even had to give us $25 back, & then told her that I was VERY upset that my wedding cake was NOT smooth, WAS leaning & tasted liked CRAP.
