Since I had gotten engaged, wedding planning was something I had put off and in some ways dreaded having to do or even think about. When I made the decision to hire Kate to help plan our wedding, things changed completely for me. The process became fun, inspiring, and allowed me to relieve myself of the stress and anxiety that I had previously felt with wedding planning. What once was a seemingly daunting task turned into not only an amazing experience but it also brought me someone I now consider to be one of my closest friends!

Throughout the whole process Kate was ALWAYS available and super responsive whenever I reached out to her with questions, concerns, and new ideas. She was always flexible and made time for me even if it was last minute. Most people would consider myself one of the most indecisive (and creatively controlling) people and planning a wedding was no different. We had changed our venue location two times, changed our colors more than I can count, went between different designs almost every week, and VERY last minute ended up changing both our wedding entertainment & our ceremony location. Each step of the way Kate supported my dreams, ideas, and bizarre requests while always keeping me within the means of our budget.

We planned our wedding for about a year and a half and so when the day finally came, part of me didn't even know what to expect but at this point, I had trusted Kate and our vendor team 100%. From the timeline cards she hands out to guests at the rehearsal, to leaving our wedding on Friday night, Kate executed everything beyond my wildest imagination. She went above and beyond just the title of 'wedding planner' - she checked on me the morning of my wedding at my hotel, she made sure everyone was where they needed to be, she even drove me to my first look.

Oh, where to begin!! Booking Kate with The Coordination Company was the best decision for me. I knew where I wanted to get married since I was young - so my venue was booked very early on. Most people told me selecting a venue was one of the hardest parts, but I was worried about finding a planner who would support my Type A personality and who I was able to trust completely so I could relax on my wedding day. After talking with other companies, Kate was one of the only planners to video call me over a standard phone call. She was immediately bubbly and I could tell she wanted me to chose the best vendor for me - even if it wasn't her, which of course it was (bonus points because she also got married at my venue). Her organization system (Aisle Planner) was very easy to use and great way to keep all the documents & checklists in one place. She sent me monthly updates of tasks I needed to do and we kept in communication throughout the whole process. Leading up to my wedding, there was a lot of stress on my end about the weather and Kate was there every step of the way. Without her - I know I would have been far more stressed, but the day turned out perfect. I have to admit, before I was introduced to Kate, I wasn’t entirely convinced that we needed a wedding planner. I cannot begin to say enough good things about Kate. She helped me plan and execute the wedding of my dreams, kept me organized and on track every step of the way and was genuinely an incredible friend to me throughout the entire process. And on top of all that she did SO much more than I ever could’ve imagined. She did things I didn’t even know I needed, things I didn’t think of or that I was too busy to do myself on the actual wedding day. She communicated the timeline to every vendor, scheduled all the deliveries & returns with them, told everyone where to stand, made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be, and even made my entire escort card board on the day of the wedding. I want to start off by saying no amount of words can describe how amazing my experience with Kate has been throughout my wedding planning process. Since I was an out of town bride, I specifically remember telling her that I needed her to be an extension of me as I was juggling grad school, a home renovation, and working full time. Not only did she do this but she did it with her whole heart. She made decisions easy for me and always went the extra mile to ease my nerves (which is no easy feat). She helped me find vendors who understood my vision and brought my special day to life including all of my crazy ideas. She helped me bring Miami to Charleston in the way I wanted. Very early on we had to deal with my father suddenly getting sick and was so patient and understanding with me while I was on that journey up until his passing the day before our wedding. She was there for me and my husband when we called and said “what do we do now?” She sat and cried with us and said she would make our day special and perfect not only for us but for my dad who would spend the day with us in spirit. I don’t know any other planner who would do what she was able to pull off that day. Every single person at my wedding told me everything was perfect beginning to end. When I say that the day ran smoothly, I mean EVERYTHING ran smoothly. I did not feel a single moment of stress or anxiety because I knew she had it covered. I hired Kate with The Coordination Company mid January 2023 for my March 2023 wedding after an unfortunate event with my prior wedding planner required me to find someone new last minute. Not only did Kate get us back on track and fix the wreckage that my prior planner had left, but she was patient, kind, flexible, and was honestly my rock during what otherwise was a stressful and emotional time. Kate worked her magic and in less than 90 days was able to produce the wedding of my dreams!
