I work in bespoke hand painted "wearable works of art" that show off your unique personal style or wedding theme. These custom creations are one-of-a-kind pieces painted entirely by hand for your day and beyond. My speciality is working with couples who are looking a little off the beaten path and want clothing that can fit the story and aesthetic that is uniquely "them."

Something for Everyone

Bridal dresses often take the spotlight in wedding fashion, but painted clothing and accessories can give anyone a special look for the day. I put equal focus on outfits for grooms, non-traditional couples, and other members of your family or wedding party. One of my favorite clients has been a couple who wanted a dress painted for the bride's grandmother, who was their flower girl!

Eco-Friendly Fashion

I paint on high-quality secondhand pieces or items given to me by the client to promote slower, more conscious fashion. If you don't yet have an item to paint--for instance, if you are here to find a wedding dress--I will work with you in finding the perfect piece(s) to personalize.

The personal nature and non-traditional lean of most of these pieces often means they don't have to be one-use, but rather can be worn over and over again after the event.

My Process and Materials

Couples may commission a single item to be painted, or expand to complementing or matching sets in your party. Scarves or ties make excellent gifts for bridesmaids, groomsmen, or family members! I offer discounts for larger/multi-item commissions.

Items or outfits can be fully painted, partially painted, or feature small motifs, colors, or patterns. I can paint any theme in any style or aesthetic, and work closely with you in designing the exact look that you want. This includes a preliminary consultation, a detailed dive into your piece(s) with sketches and/or samples, and updates as I work so you can be involved in every step of the process.

I use specialized fabric paints and have not yet met a fabric they don't work on, but will consult with you if either of us has concerns. Washability of fabrics/clothing is unchanged by these paints; in other words, if your dress is machine washable, it stays that way after I paint it.

Depending upon my workload, it may take a month or more for me to complete larger or more complex pieces. Be sure to reach out in plenty of time to suit the nature of your project!
