The Cannon Room is a historic wedding venue located in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina and exclusively managed by Rocky Top Catering. This unique space offers couples gorgeous views of the city from the 12th floor of the Capital Club building at Raleigh Founded. It features art deco plasterwork from the 1930s, making them the perfect location for couples who love vintage architecture. The Cannon Room can't wait to make your special day everything you dreamed it to be.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples can comfortably accommodate up to 120 guests at this elegant venue. This sky high ballroom-style event space has multiple floorplans available, so you can make your celebration truly one-of-a-kind. It features an adjacent bar and lounge with new accessories perfect for cocktail hour, as well as audio/visual equipment for all of your sound and lighting needs. Your guests will experience panoramic views of Raleigh as you say your “I do's.” This light and airy space can easily be decorated as you see fit.

Rocky Top Catering is the preferred caterer at The Cannon Room, providing a superior level of cuisine, bar and service customized for your event.
The Cannon Room offers two get ready suites for you and your future spouse to start your day in, as well as wireless internet throughout their space. They're fully wheelchair accessible, and pet-friendly, so you can bring along your furry friends to help celebrate your love. Round and long tables are included with your venue rental, along with gold chiavari chairs and sofas. Additional services include:

They’re housed in the iconic Raleigh Founded Capital Club, which features 44 light-filled suites with a contemporary twist. Best decision you'll ever make!
1) The venue space is INCREDIBLE. The best views of Raleigh with mix of city and nature out of the windows (which span 3 out of the 4 walls). The natural light, bar, and all of the amenities (includes tables, chairs, COUCHES, etc) really make it so simple for couples to focus on the other details of their day.
2) The staff, wow, where do I even get started... they really helped this #RonaCouple figure out the best options with what we had available. Sarah is AMAZING. She's responsive and a blast to work with.
3) As a budget-conscious bride, I felt like their pricing was super reasonable AND they have a recommended vendor list with vendors at different price points! You can also choose your own vendors not on the list as long as you get them approved!
4) LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. It is within walking distance of great hotels and restaurants and parks, this place has got it all
