Pickering House
An Intimate Historic Retreat
Built in 1813, Pickering House is a 10-room historic boutique hotel offering an exclusive and private experience for up to 22 guests. Each guest room is individually styled, blending period character with thoughtful modern comforts to create a refined and welcoming retreat.
The House features several beautifully appointed communal spaces, including the Library, Living Room, and the Gathering Kitchen, where guests enjoy a complimentary breakfast each morning. Outdoors, manicured gardens, a wraparound porch, and a fire pit invite guests to relax, connect, and take in gentle lake breezes and the tranquility of the surroundings.
The Barn at Pickering House
Historic Elegance for Celebrations
The Barn at Pickering House accommodates up to 150 guests for seated events and offers a seamless balance of historic charm and contemporary comfort. The 40’ x 60’ open-concept space is anchored by a dramatic central staircase leading to open lofts above, creating an airy, light-filled setting ideal for unforgettable celebrations.
Furnished with handcrafted farm tables, cross-back chairs, curated antique pieces, and a built-in bar, the Barn is both functional and beautifully styled. Modern amenities include heating and air conditioning, along with an interior ADA-compliant restroom, ensuring comfort and ease for every guest.
Samuel Avery’s
Intimate Dining & Gatherings
Located next door to Pickering House, our sister restaurant, Samuel Avery’s, offers an intimate and inviting setting for pre- and post-event gatherings. The space seats up to 60 guests indoors, with the option to accommodate an additional 30 guests on the outdoor patio. It is perfectly suited for welcome receptions, rehearsal dinners, or private luncheons.
