The Atrium is a contemporary, banquet-style wedding venue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Owned and operated by Paul and Natalia Hackbarth, this unique venue offers the elegance of a traditional venue but with a modern edge. It offers plenty of space for both intimate and grand weddings alike. The Hackbarths will help plan your ultimate dream wedding at The Atrium, with every detail executed like you’ve envisioned your whole life. If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime venue that provides both style and sophistication, choose The Atrium.

Facilities and Capacity

The Atrium offers plenty of event space to accommodate weddings of almost any size. The main ballroom offers an open area for your reception and ample dance floor space. With rustic wood paneling and a beautiful skylight, the ballroom feels urban and industrial while still maintaining an elegant ambiance. The Atrium also has a rooftop garden space that perfectly suits small ceremonies, elopements, and cocktail hour. The rooftop has a heated and enclosed area to overlook the gardens, as well as an outdoor patio for guests to mingle and enjoy the evening. Couples can rent just the rooftop for an intimate and affordable elopement.

Services Offered

Paul and Natalia work hard to ensure couples have everything they need for the perfect wedding day. They will help you plan and prepare all the details and execute them seamlessly. The Atrium also offers professional-grade audiovisual and lighting equipment for you to use. Their full-bar service includes house beer, wine, and premium liquor. They also offer bar packages that include a signature drink and different varieties of wine and champagne for your toast.

Paul Hackbarth, in addition to the Atrium, owns Sound By Design, a leading production company for DJ, lighting, photo booth, transportation, and videography services. Sound by Design offers everything you need to capture your day and remember it forever. Natalia manages the Travel division of Sound By Design. She can help you plan your dream destination wedding or honeymoon.

The Best Wedding Venue

The Atrium really is the perfect wedding venue. I fell in love with the greenhouse rooftop when we first toured the space and knew that it was what I wanted. I am a plant and nature lover and that space was absolutely perfect. The team, especially Jaiden, was so good to work with and really made our day the amazing day it was. She met with us a few times leading up to the wedding and took down all the details of how we wanted our day to go and then brought those details to life. Our guests were equally as excited for the greenhouse cocktail hour as we were and with the pops of fall colors, it really was beautiful. The main room also looked so pretty with the chandelier, string lights, brick walls and our table set ups. Of course the drinks and bartenders were great as well. It really is such a picturesque venue that had everything we hoped for in our wedding. Highly recommend this to anyone currently looking!!

Exceptional Venue Experience

We could not have asked for a better time at The Atrium MKE! Our experience with our event manager Jaiden Andersen and the Hackbarth Hospitality Group as a whole was nothing short of spectacular. Jaiden was professional through and through. Responsive and helpful in the months leading up to the event with our questions, supportive in coordinating details and problem solving with us and our wedding planner, and attentive and flexible on the day of our event. Our wedding guest count totaled just under 70, which was perfect for rooftop ceremony and cocktail hour. The industrial greenhouse/rooftop garden aesthetic was beautiful. The elevator made it easy for our guests with mobility concerns easily access all areas of the venue. We also really liked the packages that were offered and that all our vendors had great things to say about their experiences with the Atrium as well. Numerous family, friends, and guests would agree with us when we say we would highly recommend The Atrium MKE, Jaiden Andersen, and HHG for your event.

Best Venue in Milwaukee

This place is absolutely stunning and a true crowd pleaser. The staff here, especially Annie and Ray, have excellent communication and will bend over backwards to make sure your event goes as planned, if not better! You will not be disappointed if you choose this spot and is worth every penny.

Excellent Experience

We had a great experience having our wedding at the Atrium. The Atriums staff is incredibly professional, responsive and fun to work with. We couldn't have asked for a better vendor partner. The location is excellent and the venue itself is beautiful. We can't recommend the Atrium enough!

Happy Bride & Groom

Once we got engaged, we started looking at tons of venues and The Atrium was intriguing and we went to view it. When we were there on our initial tour it was everything we ever wanted including the upstairs bar, outdoor space and the beautiful main level. Working with The Atrium leading up to the wedding was a great experience, we were assigned Lori for our day of coordinator. We met Lori prior to the wedding day, and instantly had a connection. I knew Lori was going to be a great asset for our wedding day, she is full of knowledge and worked on the catering side in her past so every ounce of knowledge helped us. Come wedding day, she was by my side, making sure everything was perfect, including my bustle! I couldn’t have imagined having a better person by my side, bending over backward for me and our guests. Lori is a great asset to The Atrium’s team!

Highly recommend The Atrium

The Atrium and staff (Lori, Ray, etc) we’re amazing to work with. They were very responsive to emails and very organized with their/our time. The wedding ceremony, room flip, and reception were seamless and beautiful. I cannot recommend them enough! The Atrium is the perfect spot for a wedding and reception.

So glad we chose the Atrium for our big day!!

A BIG thank you to Lori, Ray, and the whole team at the Atrium who helped bring our wedding vision to life! The best parts of having the Atrium host our day include: beautiful and unique venue with so many special design details; enjoyable experience for our guests having an all-in-one location for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception; the in-house sound system and dance party courtesy of sound by design kept our dance floor FULL the entire night; the bar staff worked so hard to keep our guests drinking & happy (got multiple compliments from guests!) and so much more! Overall, we are so glad we picked the Atrium for our big day and would definitely recommend to a friend :)

AMAZING wedding venue

The venue itself is so beautiful PLUS the staff are fantastic. The overall customer service was fantastic, before the wedding and on the day of the event. I am so happy with how everything turned out.

Highly recommend

We had a great experience planning and having our wedding at the Atrium. Ray was our main person of contact and he did a great job working with us through working through the craziness that is covid. The space is beautiful and everyone had an amazing time. Would highly recommend!
