Tezrah, raised in Fairfax, Virginia, began playing classical piano at age five, laying the groundwork for her journey into music production. Before launching her DJ career, she graduated with a Neuroscience degree from William & Mary and played semi-pro soccer.

Now in her thirteenth year as a professional DJ in the Washington, DC area, Tezrah is known for her high-energy sets blending Top Hits, EDM, Hip Hop, remixes, and timeless classics. Tezrah’s accolades include: Winner of the DJ Battle for Her HRC (2014, 2015), Headliner at the 9:30 Club, Headliner for Hampton Roads Pride (2016, 2019, 2022, 5,000+ attendees), Voted Best DJ by the Washington Blade (2017, 2018), Debut at Echostage (2018), Halftime DJ for the WNBA's Washington Mystics (2019), DJ for the President of the United States at the Respect for Marriage Act signing (2022), Recipient of WeddingWire’s Couples Choice Awards (2023–2025), Honored as a Washingtonian Weddings Best Vendor (2023–2025), and DJ for RuPaul’s Werq the World Tour at World Pride (2025). She also holds residencies at the French Embassy and several LGBTQ+ nightclubs in DC.

Currently, Tezrah is producing an original album and continues to perform at both public and private events.

Banger DJ, Party all night vibes

DJ Tezra was hands down the best DJ I have ever experienced. She was extremely organized when it came to creating a list of songs. My husband and I wanted her to go off vibes for the dance floor, we gave a list of songs we would like to be played...and she nailed it. The songs all flowed into eachother, no one stopped dancing. I had tons of people during my wedding say how they've never seen people dance this much at a wedding. It was perfect. Wish I could replay the day over and over.

A great DJ

We had the absolutely most amazing day, in no small part due to the DJ work Tezrah did. Whether it was the ceremony, bowling cocktail hour support, first dances, or the dancing portion including the super fun lights, they delivered on an incredible night for us. They squeezed in a bunch of really fun songs, and managed the transitions between them perfectly.

Yes a thousand times over

Tezrah was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we started working with her, she was kind, professional, and incredibly tuned in to what we wanted. She brought such a calming and gentle presence throughout the process, and then totally brought the energy when it mattered most.

She absolutely killed her set at the wedding. The music was spot-on all night and the dance floor was full from start to finish. She listened to our requests, nailed the vibe, and truly created an unforgettable party. The lights and fog machine she included were such fun extras. The kids especially loved it and had the best time.

We would recommend DJ Tezrah in a heartbeat to anyone looking to have an amazing, personalized, and joy-filled celebration. If you have the chance to book her, do it.

A full dance floor the entire night

My husband and I used Tezrah for our wedding. We cannot recommend her strongly enough. The ceremony cues and other A/V (which I’ve seen trip up other wedding DJs) were handled so smoothly. She expertly cut the mother-son and first dance songs. For the reception, we gave Tezrah 13 must plays and a bunch of other songs in the spirit, and she put together 2 hours of music that had the dance floor packed from start to finish (gays and straights, family and friends alike). She received many compliments the next day.

Awesome DJ!

We hired DJ Tezrah for our wedding, and I can’t express enough how impressed we were with their performance! She effortlessly gauged the energy in the room, adjusting the tempo and genre of music to keep everyone on the dance floor. From our song selections, she curated a diverse playlist that spanned various genres and eras, ensuring that there was something for everyone. Her professionalism, friendly demeanor, and willingness to engage with the crowd added a personal touch that made the experience even more enjoyable.

Best night ever!

One of the best decisions we made throughout wedding planning was hiring DJ Tezrah. There are lots of typical, solid "wedding DJs" out there, but Tezrah is an incredibly skilled DJ who happens to also share her talents with weddings :) Tezrah read the crowd perfectly and incorporated all of our must-play songs and many of our “suggested vibey songs”, often in creative ways. Tezrah also added in so, SO many fun songs/samples that surprised and delighted both us and our guests.

Our dance floor was packed for three full hours AND our guests all chanted Tezrah's name at the end of the night because they had such a great time. We had never seen that happen before, and we've been to lots of weddings! Since then, many people have followed up to tell us that Tezrah was the best/coolest wedding DJ they had ever seen (which made us even cooler by association). And, we had lots of LGBTQ attendees who remarked on how special it was to feel "seen" by the DJ. We wholeheartedly agree.

Aside from the 12 out of 10 music, Tezrah seamlessly rolled with the logistical punches of switching to a rain plan for the ceremony and did a fantastic job with all emceeing responsibilities. Thank you DJ Tezrah for making our day so special!

DJ Tezrah is the BEST!!

As soon as I heard Tezrah’s online mix I knew we needed to book her for our wedding. My wife and I listen to many different genres from Pop to Hip-Hop to Reggaeton, classic Cuban, Arab hits, and even some K-Pop. When I presented all these genres to Tezrah I told her it was our goal to make sure people were dancing non-stop and that the music represented our eclectic mix of interests and cultures without separating them. We didn’t want an “old people music” segment followed by a “hip modern” segment. It was a tall order, but Tezrah delivered one of the most amazing mixes I’ve ever heard anywhere, let alone at a wedding, and boy did the crowd respond. She expertly wove in every genre we asked her for, hit all the must plays, and did so without ever alienating any guests. As desired, the party went all night long until the venue kicked us out and guests were so pumped from the music we nearly doubled our expected attendance at our after party. DJ Tezrah is an amazing, fully engaged DJ from start to finish, and we’re SO glad she was able to perform at our wedding.

Party & Professionalism

If you're looking for a DJ that will have your guests raving and you dancing the night away, you've found it in Tezrah.

We worked with Tezrah for our very gay, two bride wedding. Our queer friends had a blast jamming to Troye Sivan and Chappell Roan, while our family members enjoyed an array of oldies and iconic hits that everyone loves.

Tezrah was so communicative throughout the process and is an expert at blending songs together (there wasn't a single pause on the dance floor!) Beyond that, Tezrah was an absolute joy to work with and was such an uplifting presence during our wedding. They bring the party and the professionalism, exactly what you need on your big day.

incredible local DJ

Tezrah took our playlist and turned it into hours of dancing that drew in our guests from every generation! She personalized our introductions and transitions, which may seem expected but was truly kind and respectful. I searched for hours for a DJ that would follow our lead with the music and was not your traditional middle aged white male that your venue likes to recommend, and Tezrah was the BEST choice. I highly recommend her to any couple!
