Hi, I’m Terah — the heart and lens behind Terah Hoobler Photography. Based in coastal North Carolina, I’ve spent the past 23 years photographing weddings and telling love stories with an eye for those fleeting, magical moments you never want to forget. In 2025, I was honored to be named Wedding Photographer of the Year by Cape Fear Living Magazine, a recognition that reflects not just my craft, but the deep care I pour into every couple I work with.
My style blends documentary storytelling with a touch of editorial romance, giving you photographs that feel timeless, authentic, and alive with emotion. Whether it’s a grand ballroom celebration, a barefoot beach elopement, or an intimate backyard gathering, I’m there to capture your day exactly as it feels—every laugh, every tear, every little in-between moment.
SERVICES
From your walk down the aisle to your wild dance floor moments, I’ll document the full story of your wedding day with honesty and artistry. I offer basic collections that cover 4, 6, or 8 hours or you customize a package that's perfect for you. I also offer smaller packages for elopements and engagements. Every couple receives high-resolution digital files, with options for heirloom prints and albums to preserve your memories. Beyond weddings, I also love photographing family portraits and lifestyle sessions for entrepreneurs, and Senior portraits continuing, the storytelling well past the wedding day.

Fun, spectacular wedding!! Amazing photographer to capture it all!!
We had a simple, small, FUN, backyard wedding and Terah was there every step of the way. She helped us from picking out the PERFECT officiant to finding us the most amazing bartender! She even drove me to my hair and makeup appointments the day of when my person backed out last minute!

The most incredible wedding photographer!
We couldn’t be happier with Terah as our wedding photographer! From the very beginning, she was professional, organized, and so easy to work with. Despite a very rainy wedding day, she remained calm, flexible, and incredibly creative, making the weather feel like a non-issue. She literally made magic happen.. using the rain to her advantage.
She captured everything so naturally and made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera. The photos are absolutely stunning and truly tell the story of our day—rain and all. Amazing experience with Terah!
We could not be happier with Terah. She was incredibly efficient and made sure we got every single shot we wanted without ever making the day feel rushed or stressful. Terah and Austin were awesome!
Terah is a talented and efficient photographer. She was well organized and got all the photos we wanted and some super creative ones! She definitely has an eye for this and I’m so happy with the results! Her and her assistant Austin were a dream to work with, my husband and I would definitely recommend them :)

Award Winning for a Reason!
Terah was absolutely wonderful to work with and the quality of images she delivers is out of this world. She was flexible and understanding with me throughout the entire wedding process and I am beyond grateful I had her and her co-shooter to capture my day. I am not someone who is super comfortable around the camera, but she makes you feel at ease and gives wonderful direction! I cannot wait to relive the best day of my life over and over with these pictures!

Best Experience Ever!
Terah was our AMAZING photographer for both our engagement and wedding photos. She truly makes you feel so comfortable and has the most beautiful way of capturing light. We were in a rush towards the end of getting ready and the start of the ceremony but she made sure we got all the shots we wanted. She even travelled from Wilmington to Charlotte for our wedding - that is dedication!! Cannot recommend her highly enough!

Great photographer
She took amazing pictures during our wedding and was super flexible with everything we had wanted to do. My husband and I had a small wedding during COVID, and Terah still made it very personable and enjoyable for both of us. The pictures were absolutely jaw dropping and we enjoyed her time with us during the planning and the picture taking. Here are some photos that I loved from our wedding.
