She was amazing

I could not recommend Mia enough! She did an amazing job and also there was drama happening and I was stressed out and she helped when she didn't have to. She reminded me that it was about me and about my day and its special. She did exactly that!! The makeup was breathe taking and I didn't feel as if I was wearing 10 pounds of it, which was great. It was super hot and I still felt beautiful all night!

Beware Tanique

Tanique Review

Please beware and read before scheduling an appointment with Tanique. Wedding day disaster review. This business made mistakes, admitted the multiple mistakes, offered a refund, and then never refunded after repeated attempts to contact them. We had a problem with services, attempted to fix it with the owner and it opened up another level of unprofessionalism. The owner does not stand by the fact that her student employees could not do the job and she booked services she didn't even offer. My daughters booked them for their wedding day hair and makeup. They were chosen for their ability to do airbrush makeup. Upon arrival, they found that their appointment was with an inexperienced student. With the simplest picture of a bun and a little side work, she simply could not do the style. Not only was it unprofessional, it didn't stay up. Both daughters, who could have done the style, tried to help her and just gave up. When makeup started, the artist stated they did not do airbrush. This was the only reason the salon was chosen. The artist just used regular makeup, guessing colors. My daughters' own an arsenal of their own makeup in carefully chosen colors. They asked for glitter eyes, they got full matte. When asked to correct it, the artist ignored them. Finally they had to get home knowing they needed two hours to redo their hair and makeup. What should have been picture time and a calming time turned into a mad dash to correct falling hair with a weird twirl on the sides, and correcting makeup colors.
The owner heard the story, kept dwelling on the time they left, and defending her practices. I did get her to admit the airbrush was not available and the appointment should not have been made. I also got her to admit that she did have her inexperienced team do events, as the better stylists do weddings. No one wants an inexperienced person attempting an updo. She accused us of deceiving her for a lower price as they should have been charged the "bridal price for the same services", her words. My daughters did explain it was a wedding but due to the simple style, the receptionist suggested an event rate. Money was not an issue. This was a wedding with a professional photographer. All they wanted was what they had contracted to receive. The owner offered a partial credit and started an issue about getting to the bottom of her employees lying. Her employees were nothing but kind and tried to do the job, they just didn't have the skills or equipment. The refund never came and the owner is ignoring calls. We are pursuing the balance of both daughters, goods and services, due to the principle of charging for services that couldThe purpose of this review is to tell a story of a business that books appointments for what they cannot do, and when confronted, offered a refund, never gave it, and ignores repeated attempts to contact.
