Joy's photos are stunning and she is wonderful to work with. After seeing Joy's work on her website, my husband and were almost positive we wanted her to capture our wedding. And after meeting with her, there was no question of whether or not we wanted to look further for a photographer. Not only was her work amazing, she was also incredibly welcoming, professional, and comfortable to be around, which I now know is incredibly important for a photographer. I've never felt so comfortable in front of a camera. It was easy to forget we were having our pictures taken because she would just add to our body language and easily capture natural movements and moments rather than just trying to pose us. Also, she was clearly passionate about her work and was incredibly creative and flexible to any of our ideas as well. This resulted in incredibly beautiful and equally unique photographs, both for our wedding and engagement photos. She treated her work as the art that it is and really went above and beyond expectations. She took amazing family portraits as well as perfect candid shots of our families and guests. There are perfect pictures of everyone who was at our wedding. Plus, she was able to catch everyones unique personalities as if she knew them. My husband and I-and our families-could not be happier that we picked Strotz photography; every moment with Joy was incredibly fun and she captured each moment more perfectly than we could have ever imagined. When looking for a wedding photographer, my husband and I met with a few different ones in Tahoe, then we had our consult appointment with Joy, before we drove away I told my then fiancee- she is it. She was relaxed, easy going and listened to what we had to say, her previous work that she showed us was stunning! Best decision ever made!!!!! Joy is an absolutely amazing photographer! Our wedding pictures were gorgeous, the photos looked like they were from a bridal magazine! Joy was flexible, professional and FUN! She is very outgoing, friendly and everyone, from our wedding party to wedding guests, loved her. Joy went above and beyond for our engagement photos, she travelled to San Francisco, put up with weekend traffic and my dog and captured some beautiful photographs of us around the city. In Tahoe, she picked some amazing locations for wedding party photos and worked extremely well with the videographer. After our wedding, our pictures were available quickly and there were so many beautiful shots, it was hard to pick our favorites. As a surprise last Christmas, my parents gave my husband and I a wedding album and large framed portrait. Joy worked with my mom (who lives in Canada) to put this together and the end was result was a stunning portrait and a high end album, filled with photos that captured the day perfectly from beginning to end! Words cannot express how grateful my husband and I are to Joy for being a part of our special day, the photos show not only our personality but that of our friends and family.
