Joy photographed our wedding and she was amazing. She captured so many great moments of all the guests, she seemed to be everywhere at once! She was a delight to work with and we're still in touch with her. She could have been one of our guests. We love Joy!

Joy is the absolute best photographer for whatever you needs are... weddings, head shots, graduation photos, or just fun family gatherings! She is always professional, upbeat, creative and super fun! She really knows lighting, and how to help you relax, or pose, to get the best photographs possible. On the techie side she is a wiz at photoshop so you will look amazing in the finished product. :)

Joy's photos are stunning and she is wonderful to work with. You can tell that she is passionate about her work by the quality of her photographs and by her excitement leading up to and at the wedding. She paid a lot of attention to detail and was a joy to be around all day. Her consultations were extremely helpful when selecting the final photos for our wedding album. We are very happy with the final product and with her professionalism. If you use her for you wedding or any other event your wont regret it.

After seeing Joy's work on her website, my husband and were almost positive we wanted her to capture our wedding. And after meeting with her, there was no question of whether or not we wanted to look further for a photographer. Not only was her work amazing, she was also incredibly welcoming, professional, and comfortable to be around, which I now know is incredibly important for a photographer. I've never felt so comfortable in front of a camera. It was easy to forget we were having our pictures taken because she would just add to our body language and easily capture natural movements and moments rather than just trying to pose us. Also, she was clearly passionate about her work and was incredibly creative and flexible to any of our ideas as well. This resulted in incredibly beautiful and equally unique photographs, both for our wedding and engagement photos. She treated her work as the art that it is and really went above and beyond expectations. She took amazing family portraits as well as perfect candid shots of our families and guests. There are perfect pictures of everyone who was at our wedding. Plus, she was able to catch everyones unique personalities as if she knew them. My husband and I-and our families-could not be happier that we picked Strotz photography; every moment with Joy was incredibly fun and she captured each moment more perfectly than we could have ever imagined. Seriously. Her work and presence is too amazing for words <3

Joy is a dream come true! She is attentive and 'listens', tastefully makes suggestions, and then follows your wishes without even knowing she is there! And, the end product completely captures the magic! Actually, her photos allow you to experience your event in more detail than when you were there and so absorbed, totally capturing the love of the moment plus emotions of friends and family. When looking for a wedding photographer, my husband and I met with a few different ones in Tahoe, then we had our consult appointment with Joy, before we drove away I told my then fiancee- she is it. She was relaxed, easy going and listened to what we had to say, her previous work that she showed us was stunning! Best decision ever made!!!!! Joy is an absolutely amazing photographer! Our wedding pictures were gorgeous, the photos looked like they were from a bridal magazine! Joy was flexible, professional and FUN! She is very outgoing, friendly and everyone, from our wedding party to wedding guests, loved her. Joy went above and beyond for our engagement photos, she travelled to San Francisco, put up with weekend traffic and my dog and captured some beautiful photographs of us around the city. In Tahoe, she picked some amazing locations for wedding party photos and worked extremely well with the videographer. After our wedding, our pictures were available quickly and there were so many beautiful shots, it was hard to pick our favorites. As a surprise last Christmas, my parents gave my husband and I a wedding album and large framed portrait. Joy worked with my mom (who lives in Canada) to put this together and the end was result was a stunning portrait and a high end album, filled with photos that captured the day perfectly from beginning to end! Words cannot express how grateful my husband and I are to Joy for being a part of our special day, the photos show not only our personality but that of our friends and family. Seriously, best photographer ever!

We were having so much fun that people were walking up to Joy and asking for her card. Our pictures are gorgeous ~ I've got them in almost every room. Every time I look at them I smile. These are the best photos anyone has ever taken of me ~ I think it was because Joy made it so much fun we all relaxed and enjoyed ourselves

It was an absolute delight working with Joy. We eloped, so we did not have any official wedding photos. We had this photo session later and she worked with us, using sites that were significant for us in creative ways, as well as scouting out other locations that were perfect based on what she learned about us. We loved her photos so much that we were excited to seek her out again after starting a family. She captured some wonderful moments of us with our busy and distractible toddler and we treasure those images.
