We booked SHF in August of 2021 and just had our wedding. It’s a very unique venue with a beautiful surrounding area, just keep in mind that when booking them you will have to bring in a lot of amenities (bathrooms, for example). Jerry was fantastic in allowing us free range for our vision and was a true pleasure to work with!

Our one critique would be that the director of events needs to reevaluate her communication & conflict resolution methods as we had an unfortunate incident occur in front of our guests.

Outside of this incident, we had a fantastic wedding regardless and are glad we decided To work with Jerry. He was so flexible with our vision, and open to all of our ideas! Whenever we needed his help or had a question, he made himself available to us via phone and email. He also gave us some awesome ideas for the ceremony and reception layout! Also his farm animals are absolutely adorable!! They really add to the charm of the venue!

I would recommend booking with Jerry because he does care about the experience of the couples and who book, and is as hands on as you need him to be.

We would suggest really coming with a plan regarding garbage removal, clean up, bathrooms, and parking as we had to put extra funding/planning into this, but again, Jerry will be there to guide and help you brainstorm! Just keep In mind this isn’t a “conventional” venue, so there will be some things you have to plan more for.
