I can not even begin to explain how utterly amazing both the Stonewall Estate and their Team are. Not only is the venue and its scenery the most beautiful backdrop for a rustic, timeless wedding weekend celebration, the individuals who perfected everything along the way are superb. Let me start off by mentioning that I am super type A - I will not ask for help, I will do it all, and I will ensure my vision comes to light with the way I plan things in every aspect of my life- cue Louann R. I have never, ever, met a person so in-tune and consistently productive throughout our whole wedding planning process. Besides graciously rolling out dozens of recommended vendors before even booking the venue, assisting in contacting different people, ensuring that there is not a single problem from our rehearsal dinner / cocktail party on Friday through our brunch on Sunday, I don't have the words to begin to describe how flawlessly executed our wedding was because of Louann. My husband and I, along with my whole family, absolutely adored her and her team. They are not just professionals who want you to have your wedding and be gone, but they are real, grounded people who really do care about relationships between people and their Stonewall couples' happiness. Louann was available at all hours of the day and night - I had a question? Louann would answer almost immediately if she was not busy with something else, and this was for months before our wedding even happened. Everything from letting me assist in set up days before, which is not even required, their team does everything for you if requested, to making sure everything was the way we wanted it, and if not, would be fixed in a heartbeat. We would get married here a dozen times over if we had the chance. The multiple properties Stonewall has are breathtaking, and everyone who came up from LI for our wedding still graciously comments on how they never thought a "barn wedding" could be so extraordinarily classy and beautiful- but that's what this team and this property create. The food was also a HUGE hit, every dish the Stonewall chef made was delicious, down to the mini desserts. A huge thank you to Stonewall, Louann, and her whole team for allowing our dream wedding to take place at such a gorgeous venue that we will forever remember as the most wonderful day of our lives. She patiently answered our countless questions, always made us feel like a priority despite juggling multiple weddings, and was genuinely happy to help in any way she could. Her organization, attention to detail, and thoroughness made the entire wedding planning process feel seamless and completely manageable.
We are absolutely over the moon with how our wedding weekend turned out. The Stonewall team truly took care of everything—keeping us on track with our timeline, constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, and creating such a calm, supportive environment that we were able to fully relax and be present all weekend. We do not even know where to begin at how ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Stonewall Estates is!! From the venue itself, to the guest house to the amazing staffing we could go on and on! Melanie and Steve, the owners, treat it as if it was their wedding day making every last piece perfect from checking in with us on the day to measuring the seats at the ceremony site to make sure the spacing is perfect! The process from start to finish was truly amazing from check ins to answering any questions concerns to even giving local guidance for a welcome dinner and the shuttle service! Melanie has such a passion for what she does and it truly makes you feel like at ease because she is on your side! She was out restocking the s’mores to warming up blankets for us after a light drizzle right before our ceremony started!

We had the most amazing experience having our October wedding at Stonewall Estate! Melanie & her team were absolute excellence in all of the planning leading up to the day, and the day of! We felt like we were in great hands for anything that arose and we truly saw our vision come to life! The property is a dream and the ability to stay onsite with our closest family & friends at the house for the weekend was amazing. The getting ready suites were also perfect and made us feel very special on the morning of. Stonewall has become a very special place for us and we hope to visit again some time soon. Just got married at Stonewall Estate last week and we are still blown away with how beautiful everything was! It was a dream and my friends and family are still talking about it. The grounds alone- beautiful and breathtaking. The scenic over view of the mountains made it so nice to wake up to alone every morning, none the less have it as our wedding backdrop. We used the campfire every night - even saw some shooting stars! The Accommodations - Also beautiful and so spacious. The house alone made our jaw drop. We had a rehearsal dinner in the kitchen with around 40 people with plenty of space! Everyone was so blown away by the house and the bridal sweet. It has such an elegance that makes it feel so special. We were able to sleep our entire wedding party and it's also dog friendly to our sweet baby Winter. The venue also had SO much furniture and decor to use. The staff - SO KIND. Melanie and Stacy were so communicative and detailed to make sure everything ran smoothly and Steve was so sweet and making sure everything was set up perfectly. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. It's a perfect "destination" wedding right here in upstate NY. Family was so excited to travel and make it into a little weekend vacation in the Catskills.

Our wedding was back in July 2024, but we are still amazed by how incredibly magical and beautiful our wedding day (and weekend!) was. From the moment we met Melanie and took the venue tour, our hearts were set on hosting our wedding at Stonewall Estate. The property had everything we were looking for (bonus points for the Estate House) and the mountain setting was the exact vibe we were looking for. Melanie, and the entire team at Stonewall Estate, were an absolute pleasure to work with. Melanie’s attention to detail, excellent communication and willingness to be flexible and dream with us made the planning side so much easier, and that carried over to the wedding weekend itself where we felt so very well taken care of so that we could take a step back and enjoy the celebrations completely with our family and friends.

I don’t even know where to begin. Our wedding experience at Stonewall Estate was unimaginably perfect.
We started our wedding planning process in December of 2020 and had an incredibly difficult time finding an upstate New York restored barn venue with modern/luxury amenities, but also with people we wanted to work with for the next two years. After our first phone call with Louann, I knew Stonewall Estate was it without even seeing the venue. It is impossible to recount all the ways Louann and her team went above and beyond for us, but I will try to list out a few:
- When we found out we wouldn’t be able to drape the ceiling in the way we wanted to due to fire sprinklers, Louann literally had the fire department move the sprinklers to accommodate our design.
- When we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner on the grass outside Stonewall Estate’s sister property, the Meredith, but there was no liquor license for us to be able to serve alcohol outside, Louann fought for the license to go through before our wedding to give us the rehearsal dinner of our dreams.
- When we wanted specific items on the menu that weren’t available, she made sure to add them, and even made special plates for the bride with food allergies!
- We mentioned that it would be cute to have little patron bottles of margaritas out when guests arrived at cocktail hour (recognizing that it would be difficult to do and we could help make them) and Louann had them without us even knowing she went through with making them!
- When a member of the bridal party’s heel broke off, a member of the Stonewall team went to the drug store to buy super glue to fix her shoe.
- Whenever Louann or Maria saw we were feeling overwhelmed while we were getting ready or taking photos, they made sure to clear the room or get us water
- When my veil fell off right before walking down the aisle, Louann was there with pins to save the day!
There are so many more ways the Stonewall team made our wedding weekend spectacular. I am a type A planner and Louann went through every single meticulous detail with me for countless hours over video chats, emails, text messages, phone calls, and even in person visits when we could make it upstate. Not once did Louann make us feel like we were just one wedding on her long list of weddings she was planning that year. Throughout the planning process our friends and family were blown away with Stonewall’s team and their attention to detail and commitment to their clients (and that was just from planning!). Once the wedding weekend came, it truly is impossible to put into words how perfectly everything went. Of course, there were probably 100 things that went wrong behind the scenes, but not once did my husband or I feel any anxiety or stress over plans.
It goes without saying that the venue itself is beautiful, but the two homes on the property (for the couple and bridal party/family) were unbelievable. It was so special having our friends and family stay with us for the weekend and the Stonewall team keeps the homes immaculate. The bridal and groom suites in the home were perfectly designed for getting ready and our friends had the best time enjoying the grounds for the weekend.
Louann, Maria and the team will forever hold a special place in our hearts. They became family and we hope to share even more life events with them in the future! We are so beyond thankful for everything they did for us and truly cannot recommend Stonewall enough.

Pros:
The venue is amazing. The support staff is amazing. The cottage allows you to have your wedding party (or family) on site! And there's a honeymoon cottage for the bride/groom. So perfect!!!!! We had an outdoor ceremony with the backdrop of the mountains, but if you get rain, the barn is big enough where you don't necessarily need to order tents if the weather doesn't work out. You also get the venue for 3 days, so we did a celebration BBQ the day after the wedding!
We originally had our wedding scheduled for 2020, but because of COVID, it was pushed to 2021. Stonewall NEVER fought us on the date change and our original contract was respected (we heard horror stories from other venues where this did not happen).
We had an outside caterer for the wedding, but used Stonewall for our rehearsal dinner and for the Celebration BBQ. The food was DELICIOUS! We had several vegans that we need to accommodate, and Stonewall bent over backwards for each of our needs.
Cons:
Literally the only con is that there's a big vent system in the barn that makes a bunch of noise. We found during our speeches, it was a bit tough to hear (only during the speeches - the band we heard perfectly!). This is partly our fault as we should have asked to have it shut down just for the speeches, but we didn't want to disturb the flow of the night at that point. So if you go with Stonewall, just discuss this prior to your wedding day and based on their amazing hospitality, I'm sure they will take care of you.

This venue is SO beautiful!!! Our wedding inspiration was rustic chic and this barn was perfect! There is a house and guest house on the property which also comes with the venue! We got so many compliments and people are still talking about our wedding. Louann was spectacular from the day we viewed the venue. She is so easy to talk to, very knowledgeable about wedding planning and was always there to answer all of my questions. She was so helpful throughout the process and so calm on our wedding day! That helped calm my nerves so I could enjoy the night. Louann and her team are very professional and a fun group to work with! She made our wedding dreams come true! :) I'd hire her again in a heartbeat!

We always knew we wanted a barn wedding, and Stonewall Estate was our dream come true! We started our wedding venue search in October of 2020, and Stonewall Estate felt right in more ways than one. The picturesque views that reminded us of our Italian roots, the stunning barn, the food, the farmhouse, the grounds overall, and of course the team behind it all. We said yes to Stonewall Estate that November, and had our beautiful wedding in June 2022. Although it was the coldest day of the summer, our guests had a blast, raved about the food, and best of all, my husband and I got married on the mountaintop by our cousin, and it was the most special day of our lives thus far.
