Stetson Chapel is an absolutely stunning venue for a wedding ceremony. However, working with Carol Kennedy, the facility coordinator, was a difficult process. The cost when I was married in 2009 was $1200 and I felt this was quite expensive for what you receive. We had agreed on one price and then a contract was sent to me saying I needed to purchase insurance which would be an extra $600 through my insurance company. I called once to ask some questions about my wedding day and Carol acted as though she did not know who I was and asked when my wedding date was, even though I had already paid and signed a contract. I just felt like the process was unorganized. It was difficult to get into the building to look around and plan for decorations. They are inflexible with ceremony times, offering only two times a day in a four hour block. I wanted to get married at 4:30 but they insisted it must be at 5:00 or we would have to cancel our contract. I never once got to meet with a real person, all of this was done by phone and snail mail. It is also difficult to give guests proper directions on where to go and park because the chapel is in the middle of the campus. Now that all of the hassle is over, I am still happy I got married there because of the chapel's simple beauty.

I was the pianist for a wedding at this venue and was not allowed to stay ten minutes after the rehearsal to finish practicing. I've played for hundreds of weddings at many different venues in over 20 years and I have never had anything goes this unprofessional happen. The couple was threatened with fines if we did not leave immediately. Completely inflexible. Also they have no sound system for soloists or speakers.
