The St. Thomas More ballroom is "Pittsburgh's best kept secret," says our florist Pete Donati, of Donati's florist, whose seen all of the ballrooms and venues available for weddings.

The space is gorgeous and food delicious. Mary Beth is helpful, flexible and knowledgeable; her staff is friendly and ultra helpful. People are still talking about how gorgeous our wedding was, how melt-in-your-mouth the food and how friendly and helpful the large wait staff was.

If you are looking for an open, inviting Catholic Mass and wedding; this is the place to go in Pittsburgh. Your guests can be at cocktail hour a minute after Mass ends. The stain glass, high ceilings, large windows, fireplace, lounge seating, grand piano and skylights make for a stunning, perfectly designed ballroom; even the bathrooms are upscale and not at all what you'd expect.

The ballroom is available to rent regardless of whether you have your ceremony onsite, though I'd highly recommend not making your guests travel. Everyone was so grateful we didn't shuttle them between our ceremony and reception.
