About
The Southampton History Museum is dedicated to preserving, exhibiting, and educating the public on the history of the Town of Southampton. We have four historic properties that are usually tools for education, but two of these historic venues can be the perfect place for your wedding in the Hamptons.
The Rogers Mansion
The Rogers Mansion is the perfect place for any type of event you wish to have! In the past we have hosted weddings, corporate cocktail parties, all-day fairs and birthday parties. The Rogers Mansion brings with it an air of elegance and great historical impact.
Your guests will get to explore the entire first floor of the museum featuring our permanent exhibit showing how the home may have looked while last lived in by Samuel L. Parrish in the early 1900s and other changing exhibits giving insight into the various parts of Southampton’s past. Our large entertainment room, the Music Room, can be used as a place for cocktails, hanging out or as the perfect place for an intimate sit down meal. A spacious kitchen is also available for use by your choice of caterer to prepare whatever delicious foods your event requires.
The doors at the end of the Music Room open out to the Great Lawn which can fit a 100x30 foot tent. Guests will also be able to roam our entire 1.7 acre property and get a glimpse of our 11 outbuildings.
The Thomas Halsey Homestead
Rental Information
The Thomas Halsey Homestead is the premier rental location in all of the Hamptons if you are looking for somewhere beautiful and somewhere carrying immense cultural and historical importance. This nearly one-acre piece of property located in the estate section of South Main Street is the perfect place for your wedding, corporate event or any other kind of event you can dream up!
The Halsey House grounds can accommodate up to 200 guests and is an outdoor-only venue. Directly behind the house is the 18th-century herb garden which is a perfect place for a wedding ceremony or a great place for guests to mingle and enjoy the fragrant aromas of the herbs.
Behind the garden there is space for a 60x40 foot tent where guests can have a dance floor for a party or seating for a more formal meal or a mix of the two. All of this with the 330+ year old Halsey House as the perfect rustic backdrop.
