My husband and I got married October of 2025 at South Second. The day was absolutely perfect thanks to the atmosphere itself and the wonderful staff! Our guests were raving about the service, the food, and the location. We used the outdoor patio and bar which was perfect, and then moved inside. I barely did any decorating because the venue already had such a beautiful layout. We did tour other venues, and, at the time we booked, South Second was the best value, as well. Everything turned out exactly as we envisioned!

We could not have been happier with South Second and Saz’s Hospitality. The food was absolutely fantastic—we received so many compliments from our guests throughout the night. Drinks were flowing all evening, and everyone felt so well taken care of. The Saz’s staff was truly phenomenal: professional, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. They helped everything run smoothly and made the entire experience stress-free. We highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or event.

We absolutely LOVED South Second and Saz's as our venue/caterer, as did many of our guests. Many people were surprised to hear it was the only venue we looked at in person, but the whole process was so seamless and it was exactly what we wanted.

From the beginning, our sales rep, Jaime, was very pleasant and supportive, formally introducing us to the space and answering all our beginner questions. From there, our event manager, Michelle, was super responsive and really helped us iron out everything else venue and catering related, including helping point us in the direction of who would be hired as our florist (Feisty Flowers) and DJ (David Charles Productions), both of whom have worked with South Second on numerous occasions. (Which, again, just made coordination and logistics super easy.) We were allowed as much or as little control over the visual things as we wanted, and had a very smooth process with great communication.

Since we got married in April, we got a nice off-season discount, and found South Second to be very fairly-priced in general, especially considering how well-known Saz's is for their fantastic food, and that the catering is all wrapped us into the venue, which just means one less big logistical weight off our shoulders: we found our beautiful venue and delicious caterer all at the same time.

The space is phenomenal. It's a lovely modern industrial vibe that fits the Walkers Point neighborhood perfectly. We loved that it's generally a big open main floor so it doesn't feel disconnected, but still has plenty of cool areas to explore. The lofted area and beautiful patio make it such a fun space. It's also got a great balance of simplicity that you can add your own decorative flair, but isn't so simple that it's boring without adding tons of decor to it. It's got great natural light and looks classy, and it was the perfect size for us (just under 100 guests) without feeling too large or too cramped.

The food? SPECTACULAR. Our group tasting prior to the wedding was delicious, as was the food on the wedding itself. There are tons of options and we loved every bit of it. Honestly one of the only regrets we have from the day is that we didn't have more digestion time and stomach space to eat more, it was that food. (That's entirely on us though-we were not rushed by the venue in the least.) We had a buffet-style dinner, and I think places like South Second/Saz's are changing people's former impressions of what "buffet food" tastes like: it was all so fresh and unique and since we had such a wide assortment it was really great to be able to eat a bit of so many different things. Staff helped us accommodate dietary restrictions with ease while still helping our guests feel welcomed, and we received tons of compliments on the food and selection.

The serving staff and bartenders were all very thoughtful, going above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. (To the point of bringing my husband and I a little plate of our hors d'oeuvres at dinner, just to be sure we had gotten to try a bit of each- something we had not mentioned anything about prior.) The whole crew helped the night feel very well-organized too.

We've had many guests tell us how impressed they were by the space, the food, and the staff, and all of those helped make it a truly spectacular day for us. To us, it was a very easy and clear decision to choose South Second and Saz's from the beginning, and our opinions of them have only gone up from there. We had a magical day that felt perfectly “us” and we truly could not recommend South Second enough.

South Second and the Saz’s team were wonderful to work with for my wedding. They have many different package options which are customizable for different budgets and visions. Michelle, our planner, was very knowledgeable and responsive. She was able to provide a lot of good recommendations which helped our day go smoothly. The entire staff throughout the day was amazing and the food was great!

We highly recommend south second for your wedding. We were treated with such respect as a LGBTQ couple. They were so accommodating and extremely professional. All our guests commented on how helpful the staff was. Having the outside patio for our ceremony and cocktail was incredible.

Michelle was there for every little detail, from timeline planning to last-minute adjustments, ensuring that everything flowed seamlessly. We never had to worry about a thing on the day, which allowed us to truly enjoy every moment.

The New Outdoor Area: We were absolutely in love with the new outdoor space at South Second. The patio/bar/terrace was the perfect setting for our ceremony and cocktail hour. It added such a fresh and airy feel to the day, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous it was. The transition from the ceremony to the reception was flawless, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the celebration.

The Venue Itself: Not only is the venue stunning, but the service and attention to detail were exceptional. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure our guests were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening. The facilities were top-notch, and everything from the food to the decor was taken care of perfectly.

Final Thoughts: We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to celebrate our wedding day. The combination of the beautiful new outdoor area, the expert coordination, and the top-tier service made for an unforgettable experience. If you’re considering South Second for your wedding, we highly recommend it—you won’t be disappointed!

My fiancé and I took a leap of faith with booking South Second prior to their new outdoor patio being built, but knowing we wanted the ceremony outside in early November. Being able to have an outdoor ceremony onsite (manageable mid-50 degree weather) and host cocktail hour and our reception inside turned out amazing! The patio setup was stunning and the wooden backdrop looks great in photographs. The indoor area really starts out as a blank slate, which gave us so many creative decor opportunities with between floral walls, candles, and table decor.

With the venue being owned by Saz’s, they also provided the catering and I can’t even tell you how many people came up to me to rave about the food. We did custom stations with Asian, Pasta, and a Meat Carvery and everything was hot and tasted amazing!

Venue coordination was a breeze and Michelle had great tips and task lists with due dates that kept us on track and with all our questions answered promptly.

I couldn’t say enough good things about South Second! From the venue itself to the food and bartenders everything was excellent! The outdoor patio just got finished in enough time so my wedding was the first event to experience it. I have family and friends till this day compliment me on how good of food we had! Michelle is also so great and easy to work with. I highly recommend south second to any type of event!

While we were touring a rehearsal dinner/welcome party venue, we met Jaime from Saz's as she stepped in for the tour due to our very limited availability, and she was LOVELY! Such a wealth of knowledge not only on the space but also the industry as a whole. South Second is such a great new venue! They added a beautiful outdoor addition and I loved the garage doors that could open to bring in the natural air and light from the outside! I highly recommend checking it out.
