Has that cool, versatile edge that photographs really well and feels fresh compared to standard spots. If you're eyeing venues around MKE, it's a strong option.

My husband and I got married October of 2025 at South Second. The day was absolutely perfect thanks to the atmosphere itself and the wonderful staff! Our guests were raving about the service, the food, and the location. We used the outdoor patio and bar which was perfect, and then moved inside. I barely did any decorating because the venue already had such a beautiful layout. We did tour other venues, and, at the time we booked, South Second was the best value, as well. Everything turned out exactly as we envisioned!

We could not have been happier with South Second and Saz’s Hospitality. The food was absolutely fantastic—we received so many compliments from our guests throughout the night. Drinks were flowing all evening, and everyone felt so well taken care of. The Saz’s staff was truly phenomenal: professional, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. They helped everything run smoothly and made the entire experience stress-free. We highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or event.

We absolutely LOVED South Second and Saz's as our venue/caterer, as did many of our guests. Many people were surprised to hear it was the only venue we looked at in person, but the whole process was so seamless and it was exactly what we wanted.

From the beginning, our sales rep, Jaime, was very pleasant and supportive, formally introducing us to the space and answering all our beginner questions. From there, our event manager, Michelle, was super responsive and really helped us iron out everything else venue and catering related, including helping point us in the direction of who would be hired as our florist (Feisty Flowers) and DJ (David Charles Productions), both of whom have worked with South Second on numerous occasions. (Which, again, just made coordination and logistics super easy.) We were allowed as much or as little control over the visual things as we wanted, and had a very smooth process with great communication.

Since we got married in April, we got a nice off-season discount, and found South Second to be very fairly-priced in general, especially considering how well-known Saz's is for their fantastic food, and that the catering is all wrapped us into the venue, which just means one less big logistical weight off our shoulders: we found our beautiful venue and delicious caterer all at the same time.

The space is phenomenal. It's a lovely modern industrial vibe that fits the Walkers Point neighborhood perfectly. We loved that it's generally a big open main floor so it doesn't feel disconnected, but still has plenty of cool areas to explore. The lofted area and beautiful patio make it such a fun space. It's also got a great balance of simplicity that you can add your own decorative flair, but isn't so simple that it's boring without adding tons of decor to it. It's got great natural light and looks classy, and it was the perfect size for us (just under 100 guests) without feeling too large or too cramped.

The food? SPECTACULAR. Our group tasting prior to the wedding was delicious, as was the food on the wedding itself. There are tons of options and we loved every bit of it. Honestly one of the only regrets we have from the day is that we didn't have more digestion time and stomach space to eat more, it was that food. (That's entirely on us though-we were not rushed by the venue in the least.) We had a buffet-style dinner, and I think places like South Second/Saz's are changing people's former impressions of what "buffet food" tastes like: it was all so fresh and unique and since we had such a wide assortment it was really great to be able to eat a bit of so many different things. Staff helped us accommodate dietary restrictions with ease while still helping our guests feel welcomed, and we received tons of compliments on the food and selection.

The serving staff and bartenders were all very thoughtful, going above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. (To the point of bringing my husband and I a little plate of our hors d'oeuvres at dinner, just to be sure we had gotten to try a bit of each- something we had not mentioned anything about prior.) The whole crew helped the night feel very well-organized too.

We've had many guests tell us how impressed they were by the space, the food, and the staff, and all of those helped make it a truly spectacular day for us. To us, it was a very easy and clear decision to choose South Second and Saz's from the beginning, and our opinions of them have only gone up from there. We had a magical day that felt perfectly “us” and we truly could not recommend South Second enough.

South Second and the Saz’s team were wonderful to work with for my wedding. They have many different package options which are customizable for different budgets and visions. Michelle, our planner, was very knowledgeable and responsive. She was able to provide a lot of good recommendations which helped our day go smoothly. The entire staff throughout the day was amazing and the food was great!

We highly recommend south second for your wedding. We were treated with such respect as a LGBTQ couple. They were so accommodating and extremely professional. All our guests commented on how helpful the staff was. Having the outside patio for our ceremony and cocktail was incredible.

We had the most incredible experience hosting our wedding at South Second. From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was the perfect place for our big day. Everything was even more beautiful than we imagined, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly.

From the very start, she was organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day as perfect as possible. Michelle was there for every little detail, from timeline planning to last-minute adjustments, ensuring that everything flowed seamlessly. We never had to worry about a thing on the day, which allowed us to truly enjoy every moment.

The New Outdoor Area: We were absolutely in love with the new outdoor space at South Second. The patio/bar/terrace was the perfect setting for our ceremony and cocktail hour. It added such a fresh and airy feel to the day, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous it was. The transition from the ceremony to the reception was flawless, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy the celebration.

The Venue Itself: Not only is the venue stunning, but the service and attention to detail were exceptional. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure our guests were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening. The facilities were top-notch, and everything from the food to the decor was taken care of perfectly.

Final Thoughts: We couldn’t have asked for a better venue to celebrate our wedding day. The combination of the beautiful new outdoor area, the expert coordination, and the top-tier service made for an unforgettable experience. If you’re considering South Second for your wedding, we highly recommend it—you won’t be disappointed!

My fiancé and I took a leap of faith with booking South Second prior to their new outdoor patio being built, but knowing we wanted the ceremony outside in early November. Being able to have an outdoor ceremony onsite (manageable mid-50 degree weather) and host cocktail hour and our reception inside turned out amazing! The patio setup was stunning and the wooden backdrop looks great in photographs. The indoor area really starts out as a blank slate, which gave us so many creative decor opportunities with between floral walls, candles, and table decor.

With the venue being owned by Saz’s, they also provided the catering and I can’t even tell you how many people came up to me to rave about the food. We did custom stations with Asian, Pasta, and a Meat Carvery and everything was hot and tasted amazing!

Venue coordination was a breeze and Michelle had great tips and task lists with due dates that kept us on track and with all our questions answered promptly.

I couldn’t say enough good things about South Second! From the venue itself to the food and bartenders everything was excellent! The outdoor patio just got finished in enough time so my wedding was the first event to experience it. I have family and friends till this day compliment me on how good of food we had! Michelle is also so great and easy to work with. I highly recommend south second to any type of event!

While we were touring a rehearsal dinner/welcome party venue, we met Jaime from Saz's as she stepped in for the tour due to our very limited availability, and she was LOVELY! Such a wealth of knowledge not only on the space but also the industry as a whole. South Second is such a great new venue! They added a beautiful outdoor addition and I loved the garage doors that could open to bring in the natural air and light from the outside! I highly recommend checking it out.

The team at South Second was exceptional. I decided on this venue well over a year before my actual wedding date. Amber and Michelle made it super easy to see the venue, ask questions and change anything around. They both were super nice and accommodating. I love having the venue and catering all in one, which made it super easy. The one month meeting was very fluid and organized, given that I was an indecisive and last minute bride. I appreciated their patience overall.

One draw back was that with our rental we were allowed in the venue at 2pm, which was later than I wanted but my amazing florist and family made everything work.

Once we arrived on site, South Second had everything ready to go. Our day of coordinator Gabby was AWESOME!! She checked on me constantly, asked if we needed anything and any questions or request I had they went above and beyond to try and fulfill. I am grateful that while I was stressing out like crazy in my head, their team was very organized and just knew what to do. The partial flip of the room was very seamless and clean up was a breeze. Overall I had a beautiful wedding. Thank you South Second!

We loved having our reception at South Second! Michelle was amazing to work with and was so patient with us. The venue is the perfect industrial vibe and the loft is a great space for people to relax and hang out. The all inclusive package is the best, so much is included and it made planning so easy. You also can’t go wrong with having Saz’s catering, it’s by far the best wedding food I’ve had!

We had our wedding at south second in September of 2023. Michelle was excellent. She went above and beyond to answer all my questions and make sure I felt prepared for the big day. When the day arrived it was truly something we will never forget. Everyone was so helpful and did such an amazing job (especially the service staff & BARTENDERS). We were a rowdy group and kept spilling on the floor whoops and they made sure to clean it up right away. I 100% recommend this spot!!! We also got so many compliments from our guests. We have a tall family so it was nice to have an open space with a good vibe :)

If we could give South Second a rating higher than 5 stars we definitely would!

We chose South Second as the reception venue for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with the decision. The space itself is beautiful and well located in Walker's Point - our guests appreciated the close proximity to downtown!

Michelle made planning and preparing for the day a breeze. Between answering initial questions about the venue, assisting with setting up the food tastings, explaining differences in the food and drink packages, and finally discussing every final detail of the reception itself, she was a pleasure to work with! Michelle provided timely responses to all our inquiries and was EXTREMELY patient and gracious in helping us make decisions along the way - we couldn't have done it without her.

In addition to the great venue and great staff - the food Saz's provided for the event cannot go undiscussed. Between the various passed appetizers, the salads, the entrees, etc- the food was definitely a highlight for us and for the guests! Multiple guests commented during the reception and in the days following how phenomenal the food was. The great food and food service put the cherry on top of an already great event.

After spending 2 years planning our wedding the team at south second did an amazing job seeing to all our requests and went over and above to make sure we were happy. Perfect venue if you’re looking for a industrial/rustic venue.

From the minute we started working with South second they made us feel important. They were flexible to look at dates for us, and the staff was incredible the day of. Michelle was so kind and helped us with all of our questions and was so patient. The food was excellent and all of our guests cannot stop raving about how cool the space was if you were on the fence of booking self second don’t hesitate. It was the best decision we made for our wedding. The bartenders and managers on site were some of the kindest people I’ve ever worked with in this industry.

South Second was the everything we wished for and more. The venue was beautiful inside and out. We worked with Michelle who was very organized, responsive, and knowledgeable. She helped with everything from picking out napkin color to how many tables were needed to what beers and wines we wanted available. I had total confidence in her that everything would turn out right on the wedding day.

The South Second staff were very friendly and helped set up the venue exactly how we wanted it on our wedding day. We were able to have a cocktail hour/ dinner band on the mezzanine and a second band on the main floor during the dance portion of the night. We had about 180 guests and all were seated comfortably.

Our reception went without a hitch and Michelle was there the entire day helping organize and answer any last minute questions or concerns. I highly recommend South Second for your wedding venue. It was a great experience.

We held our ceremony and reception at South Second in August. Michelle made the planning a breeze! She is very knowledgeable and could offer suggestions on timing as well as other vendor recommendations. There were so many food and beverage options and if we had ideas or wanted to change something in the package, they were flexible in accommodating that change. We accidentally left our cake behind and the staff went above and beyond to help us track it down the next day (a Sunday when they were technically closed)! Overall we were very happy with our wedding at South Second.

We had an amazing experience with south second as our wedding venue. We had to reschedule twice due to COVID and they were so helpful in making things work. We love out of town and just showed up on our wedding day for the first time and everything was just perfect when we arrived. We worked with Michelle, who made everything easy and had great suggestions. The highlights of the venue is the amazing food, modern look that you can easily decorate, and professional/reliable staff!

My husband and I got married at South Second this last November and it was wonderful. Michelle was so so helpful with every question we had about the planning process and laid everything out for us so we knew exactly what to expect the day of. The catering and bar staff were outstanding, they were super attentive and very nice. My grandmother, who needs a walker to get around, told me a week later that she was so impressed with all the staff because they remembered her name all night and would bring her food etc so she wouldn't have to get up herself to go to the buffet or get dessert. The venue itself is so beautiful, it's very modern and industrial. This was our first choice just based off of the pics when we were searching venues, so we were super excited to get a date here. You won't go wrong with South Second!

I cannot say enough good things about South Second and the team who manages it! The venue is so beautiful and versatile - we went minimal with florals and decorations for our wedding and it still looked stunning, and our pictures all came out incredible. The space is wonderful, but the staff are what really makes this place shine. I worked with Katie for over a year and a half, from a few states away, and I never lost confidence that our day was going to be perfect. She was so easy to get a hold of, and really helped me with making sure that all of the details were thought through and organized. The day of went so smoothly, partially because the staff are so professional and efficient, partially because of all the preplanning that Katie organized.
I had booked this place without seeing it in person, and I wasn't able to do a meal tasting, but it literally didn't matter. All of our guests are still raving about the food! We had a lot of different food allergies to take into account, and they were so accommodating and careful with how they served, that everyone was able to enjoy their meal with confidence.
I really could keep raving about this place, and what a joy it was to work with them. Weddings are big and expensive and important, and I know that ours was such a success because of all the amazing people that we got to work with, and the fact that they all genuinely cared about us. One million percent recommend South Second!!

My wife and I got married at South Second this November. I cannot put into words how amazing everyone and everything was. South Second was truly the perfect venue for our wedding. It's so stunning and the perfect backdrop for both a romantic ceremony and a wild dance floor. Katie was awesome to work with - she was super responsive and always had great ideas and suggestions. From the tour to the tasting (both impacted by Covid) to the rehearsal and everything in between, I was so impressed with how supportive and professional the team was. Katie really made it easy on us and the final product was more than I could have ever imagined! Not to mention that you can't go wrong with Saz's catering... who doesn't love late night mozz sticks and cheese curds? Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a wedding venue that creates a wonderful experience for you and your guests South Second is the place for you. The team is filled with absolute pros, which is a Godsend for me who is far from a professional party planner. We worked with Michelle, and she helped us figure out timing, coordinated rentals for stages, and ensured our wedding went off without a hitch the night of.

One of the reasons I love South Second is because they make everything so easy. Working with them will cut your vendor list in half. They handle the food (which was the best wedding food I have ever had), the tables, the bar, and have relationships with all of the top vendors in Milwaukee.

The other reason I love South Second and the Saz's team is we originally scheduled our date 6/6/20. With COVID they gave us the flexibility to move it to 8/15/20 and then again to 7/31/21. COVID was a very stressful time for the wedding industry to say the least and everyone we spoke to there handled it with grace, kindness, and professionalism.

South Second and the Saz’s hospitality group completely EXCEEDED our expectations. We got married on 5/22/21 and the day was a dream. My husband kept repeating all night, “I can’t believe this is our wedding, it looks like something out of a magazine”! Our guests had only raving reviews of the food, drink, and atmosphere. I got a lot of comments from guests saying, “I’ve never been to a wedding that fed me so well” and “this was the best venue I’ve ever been to”. I am not a huge planner and the idea of planning a wedding stressed me out so much. That is until I started working with Michelle. She truly is a godsend. She kept me organized throughout the entire process and was incredibly efficient and professional. I was worried about set up/moment to moment things day of and she handled them all with grace and if there was a little chaos my guest knew nothing. We are so happy we chose this venue and it will be the most beautiful memory to look back on.

We booked South Second two and a half years before our wedding date and we could not have been happier with our choice! We enjoyed being able to have our ceremony and reception in the same location. Our guests really enjoyed having our game station set up in the loft and being able to go outside on their patio to enjoy the fall evening. We never expected what 2020 would have turned out to be, but Michelle was always available for any question we had as restrictions were implemented and changes needed to be made to make our event safe. Right as we were seated for dinner, the chef brought out a gorgeous board that contained 2 servings of all our appetizers that were served during cocktail hour. Such a small gesture, but so meaningful. The bartenders were amazing the whole night. Making sure to serve guests as quickly as possible, including remember some guests drink choices, which again, is such a small thing, but goes a long way. We received so many compliments on how gorgeous the venue was, how delicious the food was, and how kind and accommodating the staff were. I would recommend South Second to anyone who asked! We were absolutely blown away by how perfect South Second made the day go. All of the staff were friendly and focused on the details. The food was phenomenal and we received many compliments. The space itself is very cool. We had both our ceremony and reception in succession at South Second. Their team flipped the room flawlessly to the point where it was hardly even noticed. South Second had special touches as well, including a champagne bottle ready in the wedding party suite, a lovely staff member to help the bride with filling her plate in order to not spill on her dress, and staff that brought over appetizers and desserts to the bride and groom, as they knew they were busy mingling and may have missed out otherwise. 100% happy with South Second and you will be too should you choose to book them.

South Second was the perfect choice for our ceremony and reception. From the initial contact to the super fun (and delicious) tasting event to every email and phone call Michelle handled with grace, patience, and helpfulness, we were beyond happy with this venue. All staff was incredibly warm and professional, the Saz's catering was incredible (many people told us it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding by far), and the open industrial space was the perfect backdrop for our decor and flowers. We would pick South Second 100x over--huge thank you to Michelle and team for the best day of our life!

We chose South Second as our wedding venue this August for a couple of reasons but the main one was we just absolutely loved the space. A HUGE added bonus is that the catering is automatically done by Saz's so thats one less choice you have to worry about in the millions of wedding choices you have. And boy are we glad we made this choice. We got SO many compliments on the beautiful venue, but even more on the mashed potatoes (highly recommend those!) Michelle was super helpful and responsive to our 100 questions. The staff was so kind and friendly on the night of our wedding and everything went perfectly. We would recommend South Second to anyone looking to host a killer party! 10/10 would recommend!

Michelle Anderson and the Saz's team 100% exceeded mine and my groom's expectations! They saw our vision and made it come to life. We cannot rave enough about how fun the night was.

We selected the "I Do" package which included hand-passed and a table spread of hors d'oeuvres, passed champagne, a call open bar package, table wine service, plated meals served with bread and salad, and late night food. It was perfect! Food is delicious and portioned well. We enjoyed each part of the package - so worth it!

The venue comes with a cool mezzanine, bridal suite, and patio for extra space. The vibe is very modern and industrial which allows for flexible canvas for all of your creative details.

The Saz's team also works so well with other vendors! This is super important when coordinating many moving parts. What a dream team - just.. wow!

We just got married at South Second on 8-3-19 and we’re soooo happy we chose South Second. The space was beautiful and chic. We wanted a low-key, minimal wedding ceremony and because the space is so beautiful, we didn’t need to do very many decorations. Michelle was incredibly patient and accommodating with my many requests, changes, and opinions. Food and bar were both amazing. All of the staff were professional, warm, and responsive. Totally recommend.

We were married June 8, 2019 at South Second and what an amazing day it was! We loved the space at first sight. Everything from the Edison light bulbs to the garage doors gives off an industrial, "in the city" vibe. With 175 guests in attendance, the space did not feel crowded at all. Our guests had plenty of space to move around and mingle. We had our ceremony, and then had the space "flipped" to set up for dinner. The flip happened quickly and was well organized. The food was AMAZING! Our guests cannot stop talking about how great the entire evening was. People were worried about parking due to the location being downtown, but parking was a breeze. Everyone was able to find a spot. Michelle made the entire planning process (I planned my wedding in a year) easy and enjoyable. She responds in a timely manner and keeps things on track. We are so happy to have had our wedding with our closest friends and family at South Second. The space really speaks for itself, and we loved the fact that we could minimally decorate- the space doesn't need much if anything at all! Thank you to Michelle and the Saz's team for making our day unforgettable. The entire Saz's team made sure the day ran smoothly, from the beginning all the way through to clean up at the very end. We will forever remember and cherish our special day at South Second.

We were married at South Second on May 31, 2019, and we are so happy that we did! We wanted our wedding day to be easy, beautiful, and fun, and that is exactly the experience that Michelle and South Second provided. We held our ceremony on site, and afterwards it was quickly converted into a dinner/dancing space for about 200 guests. The food stations catered by Saz's were top notch- our guests raved about how great the food was and how much they had to choose from! The Saz's Festival Platter for late night food was even better than at the festivals- and VERY popular! Having guests travel from rural Wisconsin, they were worried about parking "downtown Milwaukee", but were amazed at how easy it was to street park around the venue (although we did consider renting a parking lot, it was not needed). The bridal suite was a great place to get ready, and the natural light is good for the photographer to get some nice pre-wedding photos. Our guests also loved hanging out on the patio through the garage doors! Overall, we would highly recommend South Second. Michelle was outstanding during the preparation, and was there on our wedding day to see that things went smoothly- she even made us our first drink! Thank you, South Second!

Had our wedding reception at South Second the last weekend of April and we could not be more thrilled with how everything went! The venue is gorgeous and unique and easy to make your own. Very open to all vendors for flowers, desserts, etc. Food does have to be through Saz's but this was not a problem for us as the food was AWESOME. One month later and we are still getting compliments on our food! Linens, chairs, and tables are also all included which is super convenient and keeps costs at a minimum.
The staff was great, bartenders exceptional. Special shout out to Katie who was great especially through the end stages of the planning process. If it was possible, she was going to try to make it happen. We did a his and her's drink selection and I asked if a white sangria would be an option (expecting a no) and I got a very excited yes! All of our guests loved it, as did I! She also brought me a whole plate of appetizers while my day of coordinator brought me sangria as my dress was being bustled in the bridal suite hahaha :) Wedding Pro Tip: surround yourself with wonderful ladies.

My daughter had her wedding at South Second just this past weekend and guests still can’t stop talking about it! We worked with Michelle and she was wonderful especially the day of the wedding! She made sure we stayed on our timeline, she found pens for people to use to sign the guestbook when we forgot them, she helped me place flowers on the cake when I was nervous and she personally delivered drinks of choice for me and my husband and the bride and groom right to our table. She floated around the room to make sure the day went perfectly! She was amazing!

I can’t say enough about the atmosphere and the food. All night people came up to me saying what a cool venue South Second was and how pretty it looked. They were also impressed with the cleanliness. The bartenders and waitstaff were the best! Our guests never had to wait for food or drinks at the bar and service was given with a smile. The food was also A+! I’ve had SO many people tell me it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding!

My daughters wedding couldn’t have been better! Thank you Michelle and the entire staff at South Second for truly making it THE BEST DAY EVEr for my daughter and new son in law.

South Second is a fantastic venue for hosting a wedding! The space is a really beautiful industrial-style space that is very open and flexible to accommodate different setups and wedding sizes. We had 125 guests and the room didn't feel too big or too small. We had both the ceremony and reception there, and the staff did such an amazing job turning the room over during the cocktail hour that we really didn't even notice. The mezzanine level and the outdoor area are great additional spaces for guests to use. Working with Michelle and Angie was a really great experience. They were very responsive and accommodating with our requests, and Angie did a fantastic job the night of the event making sure that everything ran smoothly. Prices were laid out clearly, and it was a major relief for us to have tables/chairs/linens/etc. as well as catering all included as part of the package, as we were planning everything from Philadelphia. Also, the food was fantastic! So many of our guests came to us to rave about the food, and how much they enjoyed the family-style service. South Second really helped to make it a spectacular wedding day!

South Second is a beautiful industrial wedding venue that has everything you need to make your special day amazing! The space can be transformed into whatever you want, or it can be left in it's original state and still be perfect. The lounge/ loft comes with many benefits. We used it as a game room with corn hole & giant jenga. It also acts as a great hangout space to get away from the craziness of the dance floor. The bridal suite is another bonus room which we used prior to the reception as a private hangout and later in the night as a safe location to store gifts. In addition to having a fantastic venue, the staff is amazing! We never felt overwhelmed or pressured. Michelle (our planner) helped us through every step - even with our unique wedding shot toast! We brought in personalized shot glasses for each guest to take home with them- also to be filled and brought to the tables prior to final speech of the night. Michelle personally took this task on, ensuring each glass was delivered to the right person - she went above and beyond to help make this work for us! Last, but definitely not least was the food! Everyone we talked too couldn't stop raving about how great the food was! Saz's provides a huge variety of catering options, and I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu! Overall, South Second was a dream venue.

South Second was a breeze to work with and is especially a venue to consider if you're looking for a trendy alternative to a typical banquet hall. South Second had all the benefits of that—on-site catering, tons of tables, cool chairs, huge variety of linens, great bartenders, friendly planners (who made planning easy especially from out of state) but still offered the freedom to host a custom event that went beyond (and looked nothing like) the typical wedding. We got tons of compliments from our guests on how cool the space is! It was the warm and laid-back Milwaukee vibe we wanted, and we have such great memories of walking into the venue after our off-site ceremony and seeing it set up exactly as we had envisioned. It was like a dream!

Save yourself some time and just go ahead and book this venue. South Second has everything. The staff is friendly, the coordinators actually respond to your calls and emails, and the space is gorgeous. We received compliment after compliment about the food, the space, the service, you name it. I wish we had another event to plan so I could hang out there again!

We could not be happier with our choice to have our wedding, cocktail hour, and reception at South Second. They far exceeded our expectations. They were amazing throughout the whole process, specifically Michelle. My emails were answered in a couple hours, and she was so patient with all of the (many, many) questions I asked throughout the process. They were able to give me suggestions on things such as timing, extra vendors for valet, and every single person they suggested was amazing. The valet they recommended to us literally ran to the cars when someone needed their car. All of our other vendors loved working with South Second. We had so many guests compliment us on the space, the food and how well the timing and wedding was run and that is all thanks to South Second. I can't say enough how amazing the space and people were to work with!

We had a great experience with Michelle - out of all of the emails I made wedding related (and I messaged a good 50+ vendors), she was always fastest to respond, and incredibly professional and understanding. Michelle was always there for reassurance, suggestions, last minute changes, etc. We wanted to make sure dancing started early, so we had a little "faster" paced schedule than some would. We were a little worried without a professional planner, but Michelle and our DJ kept things right on track and were there to direct us (but not push) throughout the night. We were able to take it all in and enjoy it without having to stress about the details.

South Second was awesome in working to accommodate my dietary needs into the appetizers, dinner, and late night. We also loved that we could serve our favorite Milwaukee beers from Third Space Brewing.

I know it sounds so cliché to say, but our wedding day really was the best day ever! We had both our ceremony and reception at South Second in September. The transition of the room from ceremony to reception and the entire day itself was executed perfectly- (which is obviously every bride's dream come true!). Michelle is truly wonderful and I couldn't recommend her and the staff at South Second enough. In the months leading up to our big day, Michelle was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is incredibly organized, responsive, knowledgeable, and professional. She helped to ease our concerns and took some of the stress out of wedding planning- which every bride and groom knows is huge! Michelle is a rock star and she is one of the reasons why we are so thankful we chose South Second for our big day! As far as the food goes, Saz's did not disappoint- no surprise there of course. We had breakfast for dinner and the food was awesome. All of our guests gave us so many compliments. It was perfect that we were able to have our hors d'oeuvres coordinate with our breakfast theme, and of course they were delicious! We are so thankful that we decided on South Second for our wedding. The space is absolutely beautiful and unique. Michelle and the rest of the staff at South Second were so professional and accommodating, we couldn't have asked for a better group of people. Overall, I think it's pretty obvious that we loved our experience at South Second and will remember our wonderful day for a lifetime! :)

One word - AMAZING. We are so happy we booked our wedding reception at South Second. We received so many compliments from guests on how great the space was, how good the food was, and what a great time they had overall. We had crazy food allergies with some of our guests, had to change our seating arrangements about 5 times, and even had to stop in once before the big day to figure out how we wanted to do set up. Michelle was amazing to work through throughout the whole process, and even though we were probably putting her through the ringer you would never know based on how helpful and professional she was. You will not regret booking your next event here!

From the very beginning Sazs was amazing from our first meeting with Michelle to the food tasting and all the way to the big day. Michelle was very responsive and accommodating when I was sending a million emails. She made everything so easy. When the day finally came everything turned out how I envisioned if not better. My guest loved the venue said the food was to die for to where I heard a guest say she was going to share with her husband but then didn't want to know when she bit into the short rib. The staff were so welcoming and right there when we or our guest needed something. We received compliments from all around from our guest on how unique the venue was and what a beautiful place it was. Michelle set everything up for us to when we walked in we were ready to get the party started. Thank you for all your hard work.

We cannot say enough good things about Michelle and South Second! Our wedding this past weekend was pure perfection! Michelle is thorough, organized, insightful, and extremely lovely to work with. Our night ran absolutely seamlessly. The food was phenomenal! We hosted over 200 guests and had appetizers, steaks, seafood, late-night food, etc and all was incredibly delicious and plated gorgeously! We are still getting compliments in from our guests- they were wild for how amazing the food was! Each and every staff member was a delight and we could not have had a better experience anywhere else- we are certain of that!

After nearly one month, we cannot think of a single thing that could have gone better at our reception. Michelle, Saz's, and all of the South Second staff all ensured that our wedding would not forgotten. Michelle went far and above her job description to make the evening perfect. The food was out of this world, and our guests could not get enough of it. Wisconsin Fish Fry just blew all other wedding food out of the water. The whole package was something that could not have been duplicated anywhere else. Please do yourself a favor, check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

South Second exceeded all of our expectations! We hosted our reception for our wedding in this venue and it was perfection. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! The entire night ran smoothly, and the set up of the space was beautiful. We couldn't be happier that we chose South Second as our venue for our wedding reception. I'd recommend it to anyone!

I cannot say enough good things about South Second. We had our wedding there this December and it was a dream. First off, the coordinator Michelle is the absolute best. We booked the site before construction had even started, and before we had met Michelle. I knew it was going to be the best choice for us just by talking to Michelle. She is so responsive and helpful. I finally got to see the venue and meet the staff a few months later and I was so happy to see it looked exactly as they planned.

Not only will you get an industrial and modern venue to make your own, but you will get to use Saz's catering which was above and beyond our expectations. The food on the wedding day tasted exactly like the tasting did months prior. We did family style dinning and our guests really enjoyed it. I highly recommend South Second for a wedding venue.

South Second is an amazing event space! We toured with Michelle before the space was complete, we booked based off of the pictures we were shown. We wanted an industrial look and it was spot on. The fact that Michelle made us feel very comfortable also made choosing south second an easy choice. She was extremely helpful and kind throughout the whole process and was very organized, nothing was forgotten or left out! She responds to countless emails promptly. The space turned out better than the pictures, and truly is a gem, the loft area is unique and the brides room was great, also the bathrooms were clean the whole night. We really liked that it was an all in one package ( tables, chairs, linens, all flatware/drinkware) they even offered table numbers and an easel. The space can be transformed into anything you want. It is also nice how it is and doesn't need to be transformed. The holiday inn airport provides a shuttle for guests, no one complained about parking though. The food was amazing and we received many compliments. The hors dourves were bountiful and servers were always refilling food, same with the late night snack. We did family style and everyone was well fed. The short ribs are awesome! We had an unforgettable wedding and we couldn't have picked a more perfect venue! You get a lot for what you pay! Michelle will help you with any questions and give suggestions if you need them. They are very flexible! Someone even made sure our cake cutting knife and champagne flutes were packaged and in a box at the end of the night. I have so many compliments it would be hard to name all of them!

We had our wedding reception at South Second and it was amazing. My now husband and I fell in love with the venue before it was finished with the remodeling. We thought it was a perfect local, industrial, chic place for our reception- and it sure was!!! Michelle was great to work with and super quick to respond to any question we had. The food was incredible and the gracious staff even helped gather decorations at the end of the night. I am so thankful we were able to celebrate our special day at South Second. Everything about our Oct. 22 wedding experience with Michelle, South Second, and Saz's was five-stars, exceeding our expectations!

Michelle's attentiveness is unmatched. She was always quick to respond to my many inquiries, happy to provide suggestions, and generally just excited to make our wedding reception everything we hoped it could be. For example, we really wanted soft pretzels served as a late night snack (specifically heart-shaped Milwaukee Pretzel Co. pretzels). Michelle worked with them and Saz's to make it happen, and they were an absolute hit with our guests! Michelle helped us customize our package to make it just what we wanted while staying within our budget.

South Second is a gem. I think every guest told me how cool the space was, and they're so right. The vibe was spot-on with our personalities and so perfect for our reception. Everything was clean and set-up just as we asked. The large garage doors were open during cocktail hour and then closed when it got dark... it was always a very comfortable temperature. The space was perfect for our ~160 head count.

Saz's catering was the cherry on top. We went with a buffet dinner and got the most comments on the Pepperjack Mac n' Cheese (a huuuuge crowd favorite) as well as the table served fall harvest salad. But really, everything was good and there was SO much food. The bartenders and service staff were professional and prompt... it couldn't have gone more smoothly. All in all, we HIGHLY recommend.

South Second was an amazing place to have our wedding reception. We could not have asked for anything better! The space is beautiful to start with, we didn't decorate much and it looked fantastic, a great mix of modern industrial that fits the Walker's Point area incredibly well. The staff is very friendly and helpful, you can tell they take great pride in what they do and provide great service. The food was so good! We had so many compliments and Saz's provides so many options (and helps you along the way) that you can really get what you want and know that the quality will be great. And last, but not least, Michelle is a truly an asset to the South Second team. Her help and guidance through a process with so many decisions and options was greatly appreciated. She was always prompt, friendly and helpful and she made the process so run so smoothly. I would not hesitate to recommend South Second to anyone considering it and would recommend you jump on booking it if your date is still available. Once more people find out about it, it will surely be booked up quickly.

Michelle and the entire Saz's staff was great to work with. Michelle was professional, flexible, and timely when responding to our questions and concerns. Our wedding reception was held at South Second and it was FANTASTIC! People are still commenting on how spectacular the venue was. The venue was so unique we decorated it minimally and it was still stunning the night of the wedding. We had 170 people the night of the wedding and it was not over crowded. The staff, food, and venue exceeded our expectations. I would recommend South Second and Saz's to anyone looking for a unique and fun venue.

Ours was the first wedding at South Second, but you'd never have guessed it because the venue staff are such pros that everything went perfectly!

From the beginning, working with Michelle on our contract and menu was fun and hassle-free. She had great suggestions to make our timeline and day-of logistics run smoothly.

The space at South Second is excellent -- well designed and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of room for our 150 guests (plenty of room for many more guests, too...and if you have fewer guests, there are ways to divide up the space to make it feel more intimate). My bridesmaids and I loved having the Bride's Room to get ready in. The venue itself is very photogenic...our photographer got tons of great shots both inside and out, and lots of nice Cream City brick walls in the alley behind South Second -- so you can get your formal and informal wedding party photos without having to go far away, while your guests enjoy cocktail hour!

Our guests had plenty of praise: from features of the venue itself (spacious mezzanine, awesome garage doors opening out onto the patio space, we even heard compliments on the nice bathrooms!) to the amazing food from Saz's Catering, to the friendly professionalism of all the staff working the event.
