Honestly I have almost no recollection of the DJ at our wedding, but I do remember a full dance floor, good music and everyone having a great time! In my mind that is what makes a DJ great.

To be honest, finding a DJ wasn't on the top of our priority list. But when it came down to finding someone, we knew we didn't want to just hire anyone who could play music. We wanted and needed a professional who would be accountable and be able to fulfill our music needs.
I found Dean with Soundscape while attending the Wedding Cafe free Wednesday night workshops at Ward Warehouse. Soundscape was their featured DJ at each workshop so I got to experience first-hand on what they do, how well they perform, as well as their professionalism. I thought that if the Wedding Cafe trusted them, so will I. I'm glad I made the right choice! I researched and called other DJ's in Honolulu, but Soundscape proved to be exactly what we needed with the best price. Dean and Barak are so mellow and approachable. They made it very easy for us with their easy-going personality and obvious expertise. Our wedding was on Aug. 3, 2013 (this past Saturday) at the Koolau Ballrooms and I am very happy to say that they did an awesome job. Dean provided wind-proof mics with stand which is more than what I could've asked for. He played my playlists and songs exactly how and when I wanted them to be played. They also accommodated my guests with song requests.
Our wedding day was perfect and it wouldn't be as perfect without having the perfect DJ. Thanks Dean and Barak for helping to make our wedding day a worry-free, extraordinary, wonderful event! Mahalo!

Dean was great to work with. Prior to our wedding, he helped me edit some music for our first dance and for my hula dance which was much appreciated!

He helped set up our ceremony with great sound for the ukulele musician, played great music during our reception and got everyone on the dance floor. I only wish we got to dance all night!
