Sometime in January I contacted Lissette Aya also known as Dj illset (Soulphisticated Entertainment) because I was interested in her playing at my Graduation party in May. I paid DJ Illset a very high price because I wanted her expertise. Around 40 minutes prior to the party she texted me a long text message explaining that her husband was hospitalized. An understandable excuse. After some Instagram research, however, I found her very healthy husband had posted pictures, he seemed to be in perfect health and having a grand time working at Club Belvedere. Dj Illset sent in a replacement who arrived an hour and a half late, couldn’t seem to get his equipment running right and had quite a few technical difficulties. When her replacement finally started playing (at approximately 10pm), he was rude to any guest who requested a song. It seemed he was angry he had to be there at all. This whole situation was completely unacceptable.
Monday morning I tried contacting her and she never answered my phone calls. I sent her an email demanding a refund and an apology for the terrible experience. Finally, three days later, she returned my phone call and began yelling at me on the phone, stating that there would be no refund and didn’t even bother apologizing. I want word to get around because I don’t want this to happen to someone else. She’s a talented Dj but what use is that if you can’t provide a good service to your clients and you don’t show up to the events.
