A unique wedding option in New Jersey & New York, Smooth Sailing Celebrations is the perfect location to host your dream nautical celebration. Comprised of a fleet of 45 luxury and casual yachts, this one-of-a-kind venue affords couples the opportunity to be married during a rooftop ceremony while sailing down the beautiful Hudson Harbor. With 25 years of nautical event planning experience, Smooth Sailing Celebrations is ideal for an eclectic and memorable ceremony and reception!
Facilities and Capacity
We host events of 12 to 1,200 guests that feature spectacular views of the New York City skyline. Each yacht is Coast Guard-certified, providing a fun, festive and glamorous atmosphere for your unique wedding.
Services Offered
Couples who book Smooth Sailing Celebrations are provided with an array of wedding-related services:
- complimentary wedding ceremony time
- customized cocktail hour of butlered and displayed hors d'oeuvres
- customized menu with choice of plated, buffet or stations service
- elegant 3-tiered wedding cake of your choice (with cake tasting & customization at boat's bakery)
- welcome aboard drinks / champagne toast / premium open bar
- sometimes centerpieces designed for boat’s dining room
- bridal suite
- tables, chairs, linens, china, silverware, glassware
- maitre'd to run event according to your wishes, plus waitstaff and bartenders
- Coast-guard trained & professionally attired captain and marine crew
- exclusive event aboard a completely private luxury yacht
- 4 hour sail / 5 hour event, plus optional 1/2 hour private photo session on boat prior to guest boardin
Pricing Examples
25-75 guests @ $14 - 18K, plus tax and other standard yacht fees.
75-100 guests @ $22 - 30K, plus tax and other standard yacht fees.
Pricing depends on how upscale the yacht is, as well as the menu, bar & dock that’s chosen.

Cuisine
Specializing in top-of-the-line cuisine, Smooth Sailing Celebrations’ professionally trained culinary staff offers couples a variety of in-house catering services to choose from. Options include, but are not limited to, the following:

We welcome outside Indian and Kosher Catering if client prefers. Some yachts provide Indian food by Indian chefs.

Smooth Sailing Celebrations provides couples with a variety of wedding-related facilities to enhance their wedding celebration. Most notably, couples are granted access to the venue’s on-board bridal suite, which is perfect for relaxing with their respective parties prior to the start of their celebration.

Every client is given a Wedding Charter Summary Form, which is an exclusive planning tool that guides the couple throughout the planning process, ensuring a stress-free and organized event that's executed according to the client's wishes.

Camille showed us several yachts and we went with the Aqua Azul Yacht for our August 13, 2022 wedding. We worked with Camille and the owner Dorit who was professional and orchestrated the entire evening perfectly. Camille and Dorit made sure our wedding was everything we had hoped for and more. The venue was amazing and our wedding was fantastic, unique, and most importantly FUN from start to finish. I can't say enough great things. Everyone who attended is still saying it was the best wedding they ever went to! The only complaint I have is that the night went so fast...before we knew it, it was time to go home! Dorit and Camille are experts in their work. The Aqua Azul is beautiful, clean, and classy. The staff is wonderful, and the food and drinks are amazing. So happy!!! Thank you Dorit and Camille! You gave us a night we will never forget.

Amazing wedding
Staff- The staff was great at being attentive to our guests when it came to refilling water and the like. They were very prompt with bringing out all the meals as well. I think the real highlight was the bartenders. They made phenomenal drinks, maybe too good if you looked at some of my family at the end of the night haha.
Overall, the wedding was amazing. All the guests really enjoyed themselves, whether they were on the dance floor or on the top deck taking in the sights. It truly was a magical night :)
