We had the absolute pleasure of working with Lis to plan our wedding and I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about her. From the very beginning, she was prompt, punctual, and an incredible listener. She took the time to really understand the vision we had for our wedding and she brought it to life beautifully.

Elisabeth brought our dream wedding vision to life A-Z. After working at Boston Weddings magazine for 7 years she was my #1 choice. Following our first meeting, she went over every detail of my 100 slide powerpoint and memorized it and then went back over it again with a fine tooth comb. Not only did she bring our vision to life but she also constantly brought new ideas to the table that were a perfect match with the esthetic along the way. Every vendor loved working with her, went the extra mile because of her, and no question was left unasked. The elements that sat between vendors like table numbers and graphic design she helped create custom for us...there is truly nothing she can’t tackle exceptionally well. She was always 10 steps ahead, so much so that the entire bridal party learned her name quickly and even the groomsmen have been been quoted saying ‘we remember Elisabeth taught us’. She genuinely cares and you feel like she’s part of not only your day and the days leading up but a part of your family you really wanted with you every step of the way — keeping it fun, not losing sight of it being you two and your love that matters most, and allowing you to fully be present in every moment. Mind you, I wasn’t looking for more family, I’m Irish, it just organically became that, in the best way. Whatever your looking for I’m confident Elisabeth can execute it. I’m so thankful we hired Elisabeth, our day truly would not have been the same without her. I’d recommend her as your first vendor phone call to all brides, if you want all the magic and none of the stress, you’ll thank me later I promise.

We hired Upon A Start Events in 2019 for our wedding! After seeing their team execute so many amazing weddings and events in the Boston and surrounding areas we knew they would do a great job. Lis had the creativity we were lacking and she brought such a fun, amazing energy to our planning! She quickly caught on to our style and continuously came up with new, exciting ideas that we loved! When COVID-19 hit, Lis seamlessly moved our wedding date to 2021. She advocated for us better than we would have ourselves to make sure that our day was the most special. We certainly would not have been able to secure a wedding date in 2021 with ALL of our same vendors if it weren't for Lis. She is truly amazing and was always there for a phone call of meeting whenever we needed it. She planned a stunning bridal shower full of surprises!!! At our rehearsal event, all of our guests complimented us on the Upon A Star staff! They were beautifully dressed, professional, and on top of EVERY minute of our event. Lis was always one step ahead of us - even our guests commented on how she somehow was the last person out of the rehearsal at the chapel and the first to the rehearsal event. The day of the wedding was so seamless because of the Upon A Star staff who dropped off welcome bags to our guests at multiple hotels, checked in at the venue to ensure vendors were arriving and setting up as planned, then back in with the bridal party to ensure everyone had what they needed. Lis was there at times I didn't even know I was going to need her... like when my mom and MOH headed off to the ceremony in separate transportation and I was walking to meet my dad. Lis was with me so I wasn't alone! At the reception in the midst of all the fun and commotion Lis was there to bustle my dress when I couldn't find my mom or MOH. Every day of our special weekend was flawless thanks to Upon A Star Events and it continues to be amazing post wedding with all of the surprises we have received!! Elisabeth helped plan my daughter’s wedding in June. Elisabeth is one of the most creative, energetic and generous people I have ever met. She knew my daughter’s vision of the look and feel of the wedding, and put the wheels in motion to make it perfect. She worked so well with our various vendors; not only to coordinate ideas about the vision of the day, but to work on the nuts and bolts details, like the right number of electrical outlets the band needed to set up. No detail is too big or too small for her to handle. Her organizational skills are superior; keeping us on top of things and when they needed to be done, and creating timelines leading up to the wedding day for us and for our vendors; all the things that made the day go as smoothly as it did. Elisabeth is truly a special person, and the management, creative ideas, enthusiasm and boundless energy she brings to an event are extraordinary. She is simply the best.

Elisabeth is unbelievable - the real deal. She not only has the creative vision to pull off amazing events, but she also has the knowledge, organization and management skills to pull it off flawlessly. Her ability to appreciate varying clients tastes, is key. She customized my son's Bar Mitzvah celebration (an intimate gathering, not the typical party) perfectly. She's incredibly responsive - whether by phone, text or email - I don't think I ever waited more than a couple of hours to hear back (even when we were several months out from the event/she had more pressing deliverables).
