We got married in June 2025 and are so happy we chose Skiff’s Cakes for our cake and dessert table.
The cake was absolutely beautiful and looked better than we imagined when describing it! It also tasted incredible! We got the banana chocolate on one tier and the white cake with strawberry cream for the other tier, and they were delicious and moist! We got a ton of compliments, and know some of our guests were following servers around trying to get more! And the mini desserts were so good! We got a larger package than we needed and have been enjoying our leftovers! We definitely want to go back for their desserts whenever we have a sweets craving!

They were also so easy to work with, and we really appreciated that the cake and filling options were deconstructed during our tasting so we could try different combinations.

We wanted a very minimalist wedding cake to cut just for photos, and Skiff's was amazing! Beforehand, we picked up a cake tasting box from them which included samples of all the possible cake, filling, and frosting flavors. The ordering process was easy- We sat down with an employee, described the size we wanted, number of tiers, flavors, and emailed an inspiration photo for the design. The bakery quickly got back to us on final pricing based on the design. The pricing was reasonable and they delivered to the venue as well. About a week before the wedding, they called to confirm final details. Skiff's is definitely the go-to bakery in the Simi Valley area for special cakes for any occasion. Highly recommend this local business!

Not going to lie, Skiff's sold us with their cake tasting. What a great way to show off what you can do. We got to try their various cake flavors with a mix of creams, fillings and frostings.

Like most people, we love cake, but we're by no means cake experts, so being able to see and taste many of the options real time was amazing!

Steve was very flexible and told us to show him some cake styles we liked. We did, and our cake ended up looking gorgeous with a fun flair we gave him beforehand to add on top :). He also gave us very realistic estimates for how much dessert we would need for the number of guests we had, working within our budget while still assuring every sweet tooth was satisfied!

Because Skiff's Cakes has been working with all the venues in the area for decades, they know exactly how to make everything run smoothly on the day of, without us having to worry about anything.

I'm so glad I found Skiff's cakes for my wedding - they did an incredible job! The cakes and desserts are both absolutely delicious and gorgeously presented. I ordered a 3-tier wedding cake (Steve artfully arranged roses on it and it looked wonderfully romantic) as well as a variety of mini-desserts, and our guests were raving about how delicious it all was. Everyone at Skiff's was so helpful and personal with their service, and I'll be visiting again just to eat their desserts :)

Best cake I have ever tasted! They were spot on with our desserts and our wedding cake. Everything was fresh and delicious! Our guests even took some home they were so good!

Skiff's is the absolute best! I can't emphasize enough how incredibly delicious both their cake and other desserts are! Our wedding cake had a lace design that turned out beautiful. It was lemon with lemon filling, and it was super moist and delicious. We also got desserts for our dessert bar from them. We got mini red velvet cupcakes, mini churro cupcakes, mini Bailey's Irish Cream cupcakes, chocolate éclairs, mini apple streusels, mint brownies, blonde brownies, and lemon bars. Perhaps it was overkill, but their desserts are just that good! We tried out other vendors, and I just didn't feel the quality lived up to what Skiffs was able to offer. On top of that, they are super friendly and easy to work with and very reasonably priced (they were one of only 2 vendors that ended up under budget for us!). Just book them; you won't regret it!

Skiffs is the best. period. I was blown away when I saw our wedding cake in person and it tasted even better than it looked! We also had sheets of brownies from them as well. I am not personally a huge sweets person and I dream about our cake. The staff is so amazing to work with and professional. Look no further if you're questioning going with skiffs or someone else. No one can beat Skiff's. I will be a life long customer!
