Facilities and Capacity

The hotel has seven event spaces and can accommodate 500 guests. One of these spaces is the 7,600-square-foot Throckmorton Ballroom, best used for receptions and other wedding events. The available spaces provide a blank canvas for the couple to choose any style and theme for their wedding. Also available is the Sheraton Lawn, which can accommodate up to 700 guests and multiple setups.

Ericka and staff are great

We worked with Ericka. She is amazingly responsive, professional, easy to deal with just to list few of her positive attributes. The staff overall were extremely nice. The food manager was amazing. No regrets. This is our family's 2nd time to work with them.

Seamless experiences at Sheraton Mckinney

Sheraton Mckinney is one of my favorite venues to ever work with. I’m a wedding planner specialized in South Asian weddings and this venue has gone above and beyond for all the events they’ve collaborated with me on. They’re so attentive to detail, helpful staff and great management overall. Ericka White, their sales manager, has been a gem to work with. She’s always on top of planning and executing anything that comes her way. She’s been so helpful not just to us vendors but all of her clients and provides excellent customer service. I always recommend all my clients to Sheraton Mckinney before any other venue mainly because of Ericka! Felix, banquet manager, has also been of great assistance throughout all events worked with him and was a pleasure to work with!

My wedding reception

Ericka was my banquet manager. She was amazing and extremely responsive. I had a pleasure working with her she made sure i get everything i needed for my day. It was little over my budget but i guess it was all worth it at the end of the day.

I would highly recommend Sheraton McKinney for any event. A five-star with no hesitation for food, services and event coordination.

My wedding was perfect in every way. Sheraton McKinney is a great venue for the event. The hotel is little over a year old . The hotel has a foyer that can accommodate for cocktails. The ballroom has wonderful chandeliers. Everything was impeccable. And Laura Greiner (the sales and catering manager) was very helpful with great ideas. She is a wonderful person, detail-oriented, organized and professional. She made the wedding preparations easy for us.

After the disaster with my last venue, two months before my wedding, I was super stressed about finding another venue for my wedding reception. But as soon as I walked into this Sheraton and started talking to Laura all of my fears went away. She told me that they just happened to have my wedding date open and would love to have my reception moved there. So we signed the contract and started planning everything all over again. I can't compliment this venue enough. The food was amazing! No one could believe that the hotel catered the meal. And Laura, she went above and beyond to help with everything. She had no problems answering all of my questions and giving me ideas about different aspects of the reception. The day of the wedding I was rushing around trying to get things done and she just stepped in, took the centerpieces, guest book, and wedding favors from me and said she would take care of everything and that I didn't have to worry about anything. When I walked into the reception after the wedding I was floored. Everything was perfect. I was just going to have my lit up vases in the center of the table and that was it. But she put them on mirrors and places little tea lights right next to them and made everything look so elegant. When I saw her one of the times she came to make sure everything was ok I couldn't help but hug her and thank her for everything. She made what could have been a disaster into a night I will never forget. I HIGHLY recommend this venue for everyone! Not only is Laura an amazing event person but the venue is absolutely beautiful and the other staff are friendly as well.

Laura is the absolute best! My mother also really likes her; she always refers to her as "oh Laura, that sweet girl at the sheraton?" She is very prompt with responding to email. She is very flexible and worked with my family on a food and beverage minimum that works for our budget. I have three more months till the wedding and I cannot wait!

I had only a few months to completely plan a full service event. The staff jumped on it..My partner and I were limited on not only time but on ideas. From day one until our guests were seated at table the Event Planner(s) were with us every moment. My praises to all.

My fiancé and I are having a semi-destination wedding in Texas. We are both from Louisiana, so most of our guest will be traveling from out of town. We wanted a hotel that we could block-off rooms at, had a shuttle service to and from the venue, and host our rehearsal dinner at. Sheraton McKinney has all that to offer and more. This is not only one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever had the pleasure staying at, it is also impeccably clean. We have had such a wonderful experience working with Laura their catering sales manager. She has been more that accommodating, and she always gets back with me almost immediately when I email her. We are so happy we found Sheraton McKinney to be apart of this special time!

Thus far, the Sheraton Hotel has been a great vendor to work with! I'm so happy I found them for my wedding reception! They are VERY flexible in regards to decorating and arranging tables and chairs. Laura has made planning very smooth and stress free. She seems like she's always available if I have a question or concern. The perk to having a wedding reception at a hotel is your out of town guests only need to walk to the nearest elevator! If there has been heavy drinking, no need to worry about guests driving on the road!

It is an honor to have such a wonderful venue in our hometown. We were excited when the Sheraton opened its doors in McKinney. It is a jewel of a hotel with a wonderfully contemporary look. Whether we are there photographing a portrait, event or wedding, the staff is always professional and courteous. They are obviously seasoned pros and they ensure everything runs efficiently. That of course makes our job easier. It's one of our favorite places to photograph!
