Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel

Dora and her team, including Scott and Lillian, are true professionals. My wife and I were initially hesitant to book with the Sheraton, but they put us completely at ease. Dora, with her extensive industry experience, guided us expertly through the entire process, offering valuable advice on where to allocate our budget.
She was flexible, never pressured us, and made us feel like her priority was ensuring our wedding was magical. Dora and her team were also incredibly patient, helping us navigate our many questions and changes with grace. By our wedding day, we were confident we had made the right choice, thanks to their responsiveness and support.
The day-of coordinator, Steve, was equally fantastic. He flawlessly managed all the moving parts of our ceremony and reception, ensuring every detail, from party gifts to table numbers, was handled exactly as we wanted. His patience and adaptability were invaluable. The Sheraton team truly made our special day seamless and stress-free. The Sheraton definitely has a rockstar team.

My wife and I were very happy with Sheraton Laguardia East. Sheeba (our wedding coordinator) and Steve (our day of coordinator) are experienced planners who guided us with patience, calmness, flexibility, and competence.

Sheeba is extremely detailed and patiently corresponded with us through 8 months of multiple e-mails and calls. She responds to you readily to questions big and small while tackling complex issues with ease.

Steve is always one step ahead and his presence on the big day put us at ease. Steve was extremely calm during the big day and we were wondering why. Later on, we realized its because he’s really good at his job and he’s been doing this for a long time. We’re pretty certain that there were multiple issues that came up that we didn’t even know about because Steve took care of it all.

Early on in our planning, we had an issue of non-responsiveness from one sales manager. The issue, however, was quickly resolved after we requested a change. Sheeba and Steve’s professionalism made up for this one hiccup. And, we appreciated that the sale manager approached us in person with a sincere apology.

The decor and food was incredible; guests from both sides of our family raved about the quantity and quality of the Chinese banquet food. One thing to consider, however, is that the outdoor ceremony space holds the white noise of queens traffic and airplanes flying overhead. The speaker system carries quite well but we had some live music and this part did not fare well for us.

Despite this, we still strongly feel that the value is incredible, especially for the price you pay. The staff often goes the extra mile and even does little things to offer hospitality.

We highly recommend this venue. 5 stars all the way!

Sheraton was amazing, the service is incomparable. From the beginning when we had to reschedule due to COVID to the end, they helped us through everything. The staff and team (Sheeba, Scott, and Steve) we worked with was so accommodating to our needs. Scott even arranged to have the team help us set up our party favors and center pieces. The food and cake they made for us was so delicious our guests kept raving about it the next day. The outdoor space and room really is one of the better ones in flushing. I wouldn't choose another venue. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

We cannot thank Sheeba enough for all her help in setting up our wedding. She has been with us every step of the way since my first visit to the Sheraton. Majority of the coordination after my initial visit was over email, and phone. Sheeba was very responsive in answering all our numerous questions. As our big day approached, Sheeba made sure we addressed questions that needed to be answered in order for a smooth wedding. She put up with our numerous and sometimes very late changes with both patience and professionalism.

We met the banquet coordinator, Steve Ramos, on the day of the wedding. His calm demeanor was very helpful to us on the wedding day. He guided us every step of the way during the ceremony and the banquet. At one point, our guest count went past the reserve tables. Steve calmly informed us of this news, and told us they will setup the additional table and even sent his staff to go purchase the additional grocery. Steve's experience, professionalism, and his staff were so instrumental in making our wedding go smoothly.

In closing, we just want to commend Sheeba, Steve, and his entire staff for making our special day even more memorable.

We met Steve almost a year ago, while touring the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel. Steve was very informative and patient with our questions during the tour. Immediately after the tour, we knew this had to be our venue. We changed our wedding date in order to book the Sheraton. (this is not easy for a Chinese wedding, as the date is very important in our culture) For the next 10 months, my fiance and I worked with Sheeba. She was also incredibly patient with our questions, and met every one of our requests. A few weeks before our day, we finally met Sheeba in person. She was so professional, but at the same time remained personal with us. We felt comfortable during the whole meeting. We left confident that we are in good hands. Sheeba gave us amazing advice when asked, but was never intrusive. We were constantly making last minute changes, but Sheeba was so understanding.

Fast forward to our wedding day, and what luck - it rained the whole day! Fortunately, 2 hours before the ceremony was to begin, the rain stopped, and the sun came out. Steve kept in constant communication with us and immediately started working on moving the ceremony outside. Steve made us feel like home. He was literally there for us the entire night. He kept everything on schedule for us. He was extremely cordial. It was the little things that did not go unnoticed. He “stopped” time so that photographers can capture a special moment between the bride and groom. Offered water to the groom after he had one-too-many. Towards the end of the night, we felt like Steve was part of the family.

There was some concern about the presentation of the food, but Sheeba addressed our concerns. She set up a meeting with Chef Roger. We felt that the food was tasty, and also well presented during the wedding night. The wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. The suite that we stayed in was spacious and clean. Parking lot staff was efficient, car returned in the same condition we left it in. We have nothing but good things to say about Steve and Sheeba. Our wedding was an extreme success, and we are certain that the Sheeba/Steve duo had everything to do with it. Thank you to the staff at Sheraton LaGuardia for everything. We will always remember our wedding experience.

My family and I hosted our first wedding reception in the USA for family and friends. Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel was the perfect venue for my BIG FAT Bengali wedding. They allowed me to bring my own caterers, decor and entertainment. All of these combined together made my event a beautiful one that will be talked about for years. Sheeba Madhu was very responsive during the planning process. She always ensured me that everything would be fine. Steve Ramos, the banquet hall manager tried to make sure I was alright during the night because I was very stressed. He was there throughout the whole event. I was provided a very spacious dressing room and a complimentary suite that was everything to me at the end of the night. The wedding went by too quickly and I wish I had not stressed out as much. :)

Sheraton left me speechless. Words can't explain how thankful I am to everyone there.. especially to Steve. The weather wasn't exactly in my favor that day but Steve did all he could to make sure everything ran smoothly. I was super nervous and freaking out but Steve assured me that everything is okay and he was flexible and gave me everything I wanted. My wedding was just awesome. The food and service at Sheraton was great and the venue itself was simply beautiful. Thank you so much! If anybody is looking for a great venue, I would recommend Sheraton in Flushing, NYC. We had our Chinese wedding banquet at the Sheraton, and it exceeded our expecations! The food is fantastic (approved by all of our Chinese family!) and the service in the planning and day of coordination is top notch. We worked with Sheeba to plan our event - she was very responsive and accomodating of all of our requests. Steve was a great help the day of and made sure the day went very smoothly. We couldn't be happier with how the day turned out, and recommend the Sheraton to anyone planning a banquet! This is the A team.

We had a wonderful experience at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel. Their prices are fair and the services provided were impeccable. I really have no complaints. We had an Asian Fusion wedding. I had no idea how to make it work without looking overly red and with the limitations of the old Chinese customs. I thought the Sheraton would be the last venue that would understand the challenge. I was very wrong! This venue is located in Flushing, NY. It is within an Asian community. They have several Chinese wedding banquet menus to choose from. They have the red linens that are required for a Chinese wedding. They have the Dragon and Phoenix wall hangings that are a must. They even provided us with cushions for the tea ceremony. They also provide a bridal suite to conduct our tea ceremony even though we had ours in the ballroom in front of our guests. Sheeba, the event sales manager was extremely helpful. She answered all of our concerns and offered her advice and opinion when we asked. They have extensive experience hosting Chinese weddings. Sheeba showed me pictures of past events for inspiration. She even had her staff set up mock table settings so that we can compare the linen effects. I think I sent Sheeba at least 10 emails per week. I was a nervous bride. She always replied within a few hours or the next day at the longest. I was upset about something and expressed it to Sheeba, she called me right away and offered to help. She was so diligent. I truly can't imagine planning and hosting our reception without Sheeba's help. She made the planning process as stress-free as possible. She gave us many great ideas. She suggested we do an outdoor cocktail hour since the weather was nice in May.

It turned out so beautifully. We had the entire floor to ourselves. This includes the ballroom, bridal suite, and terrace. Imagine how nice it was to have the entire space to my party. No sharing with other parties like the typical Chinese restaurant. Our guests arrived and enjoyed their drinks and snacks outside on the terrace. The hotel set up cocktail tables with my linen choices. It was the perfect setting for pictures. Everyone took out their cameras to take pictures of themselves and of us. They were surprised at how beautiful the terrace was. Then, dinner time came and our guests were escorted into the ballroom. There were some lighted ceiling drapery provided by the hotel. We requested two banquet tables to be set up on the stage for our family. It looked beautiful and really put the family and ourselves in the spotlight. We hired professionals for lighting. Combined with the lighting, the ballroom was transformed into a intimate, classy, and elegant dinner venue. It still had the Chinese flair since we incorporated a lot of red in details while using gold as main color. The hotel hung up the dragon and phoenix decorations and the Double Harmony sign.

The food was very good. I still get compliments on the good till this day. The staff was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive to us. She knew that we wouln't have time to enjoy dinner so she packed up food from each course and set them up to our suite to enjoy after the reception. Our wedding package includes an overnight stay in a suite. We were so pampered. Steve, the event manager on the day of, he shadowed us the whole time and guided us through the schedule. Every time I got up, he would help me down the stage, fold up my napkin at my seat, and when I returned, he would seriously, appear out of no where and place my napkin on my lap. Seriously, he is that good! I was blown away. I was afraid that I would go hungry during cocktail hour since we were busy greeting guests but I went into my bridal suite and aaaah...the amazing staff left a tray of food there for me along with a bowl of ice and soda. They were incredible.

Looking back, the day was a blur because we were so busy hosting but the staff never missed a beat. Our reception was gorgeous. Everything went smoothly. I am so grateful for everyone at the Sheraton. The quality of service and care simply exceeded the amount of money we spent.

I initially thought we would save money at a Chinese restaurant but the price of the banquet was not much more than a Chinese restaurant but the personal attention that we received would never be matched from a restaurant. My husband and I are so glad that we chose the Sheraton. Our guests had such a good time. They were in awe of the entire venue. It was definitely a memorable experience for us and our guests. And my parents friends were speechless which really means a lot. Old school Chinese ladies...they always nit pick on something...anything...but nope. Nothing they can pick on here. I am so relieved!!! I am so thankful for Sheeba.
