If you don’t have time to read our full review below, the brief headline is this: Booking The London for our wedding was hands-down the BEST planning decision that we made. The hotel’s event manager was responsive and caring throughout the process. For the last year+, we have been working with Matthew McKeon from The London. He helped us with every single step, from selecting the menu (we’re vegetarians, so picking a beef and fish dish was tricky for us – but our guests are still raving about the food a week later). He helped us decide on a layout for the ceremony and reception, among solidifying a thousand other details – and we trusted his opinions completely. He was responsive to our emails, gracious to work with, and by the time the wedding day arrived, we felt like he was a friend. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed working with Matthew; his attention to detail, kindness, and availability genuinely made the experience what it was: Perfect. In addition to working with Matthew behind the scenes, ALL of the staff at The London were gracious and friendly with our guests. Sebastian, Wayne – I wish I remembered more names! – and everyone from the servers to the front desk staff made our friends and family feel welcome. We are so appreciative to them for making it a positive experience for everyone! Beyond the wonderful people working at the hotel, we cannot forget to mention the absolute stunning setting that The London provides. Our guests, from all over the world, were blown away by the views. We tried to keep everything very simple (we used the hotel’s linens, chairs, tables, dance floor, etc.) but it looked anything but basic. I have seen photos from other weddings in which the space is decorated to the nines, and of course that looks beautiful, as well… but we found that accoutrement to be unnecessary. From the moment guests arrived in the elegant lobby, to their stepping onto the rooftop, the hotel effortlessly set the tone. It felt simple, sophisticated, flawless. I wish I could relive our wedding day a thousand times, and I credit that in large part to our impeccable experience with The London. Thank you, thank you!

Staff was very friendly! Nathalie is the best!. Beautiful venue, was able to accommodate all my wishes. Food was delicious, received so many compliments from my guest.

Marina del Rey Hotel has been a long time favorite spot of ours ever since the remodel and it was a pretty easy venue choice for us after our engagement. The space speaks for itself in how beautiful it is, it's hard to beat! All staff at the hotel were very accommodating to our wants and needs and our wedding day went so wonderfully. It made it so easy to have a pretty much all inclusive venue - catering, chairs, tables, bar needs, linens. The food from SALT is so good!! Our tasting was amazing and the food on the day of didn't disappoint at all. THe bridal suite is soo gorgeous, we wanted to just move in! We had our ceremony on the event lawn, reserved the lounge area with the fire pits for cocktail hour, and had all the ballrooms for reception. It was a great layout. Guests couldn't stop raving about everything! Loved it all!!

💗Sonesta Redondo Beach and Marina is an absolutely stunning venue that exceeded all of our expectations for our Valentine's Day wedding. The moment we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the warmest hospitality. Mrs. Cheryl, our wedding coordinator, was simply outstanding. She was not only sweet and professional but also incredibly detail-oriented, ensuring that every aspect of our special day was flawless. She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was perfect, and her dedication truly made our celebration unforgettable. The venue itself is a picture-perfect setting, with elegant indoor spaces and a beautiful outdoor terrace that provided the perfect backdrop for some of our photos. The Peninsula ballroom was gorgeous, and all of guests raved about how lovely it was. We moved the ceremony indoors as well, since it was too cold and windy to use the pool deck area. The catering staff was attentive and accommodating, and the food was delicious. We had sea bass, steak and chicken entrees for our guests to select from. Mrs. Cheryl customized our package, since we didn't want the open bar. We did use one of their preferred vendors, Vox Djs, and it turned out really well. This was the first venue we toured, and after looking at 7 other potential venues, Sonesta really had the most value for the money. We couldn't have asked for a more magical day, and we are so grateful to Sonesta Redondo Beach and Marina for making our wedding dreams come true. Thank you Mrs. Cheryl, Robin, all the banquet staff, and the valet guys.💗 P.S. We were able to select our own bakery for our cake. Since the folks at Torrance Bakery (the preferred vendor) were not very nice, creative, nor accommodating of what we wanted, which was a jaw-dropping, amazing wedding cake. Don't feel forced to use Torrance Bakery if you are not satisfied with your tasting/design consultation. For a wedding cake, you should not have to settle for less than perfection.

From the start, Jen was amazing, attentive, and professional. She wanted to make sure we got everything we wanted for our lilac wedding day along with making sure to honor our wants/needs while being explicit with what Courtyard could provide. They were very accommodating, mindful of us, and made us feel important for every step of the way. I loved every step of the process in wedding prep (believe it or not!) with Jen and our wedding planner Dawnee, which made the whole process the least stressful as possible; even our guests told us that we seemed super chill throughout the process in our 1 year 2 months engagement. Thank you so much for making our wedding day better than we could've imagined CMMP, Dawnee (our wedding planner), and all of our vendors! Our hearts are so full!

Great venue, beautiful decor/layout, fabulous team, great food!

My now-husband and I are so glad we went with the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel! Working with them was such a blessing. Lisa Lyons-Gentile especially was such an amazing and positive person to connect with; she truly took the stress out of planning and helped us to feel like we could pull off a huge event like a wedding. From our initial inquiries, to food tasting, to flow planning the week of, we truly felt like we were in good hands and could communicate both our concerns and preferences. The staff made themselves present on the day of the event, and the venue itself was just modern, clean and gorgeous. If we could get married again, we would! And we for sure would do it at the Renaissance :)

The entire staff at Doubletree were excellent, our coordinator Yelena was awesome! the whole way through the planning process and the day of the wedding as well.
