I'm a wedding photographer based out of Austin, Texas who believes that marriage & relationships are worth celebrating with vibrant, emotional photography. After starting Shelley Elena Photography in 2011, I've photographed over 150 weddings, but still get excited every weekend to capture the unique ways that couples love each other.

I am so happy we worked with Shelley for our wedding! I knew I wanted candid, true to life photos and she went above & beyond. Our (huge) sneak peek gallery is stunning and I can't wait to see the rest. She's also just such a kind person, who put everyone at ease the whole day. Can't recommend her enough!

Incredible human, incredible photographer
You won't find a better photographer or human than Shelley. From our engagement photo session to our wedding day, Shelley was absolutely incredible to work with. She is truly a master of her craft. While we love the family portraits from our wedding day, the true magic is in the candid photos Shelley captured. When we look through our images, we can feel the emotions and experiences of our guests ooze through the screen. She caught the laughter, the tears, the dancing, and all the little moments in between that my husband and I missed throughout the day. We cannot recommend Shelley and her skills enough!

Shelley Elena Photography is beautiful
Shelley Elena Photography was my selection for photography on my wedding day. Full disclosure, I have known Shelley since our childhood. That being said my decision to use her as my photographer was based off her talent. She has a unique ability to capture moments in time that reflect the most genuine moments of any event. The story of my husband and I joining our lives is so perfectly told by the images she selected to capture. Shelley doesn't gravitate towards the big obvious moments of the day but rather the small, emotional, intimate moments that are shared amongst people when you think no one is looking. She is able to capture these unique moments because as a human she is LEGIT. One of the most humble and down to Earth people I know. If you select Shelley you will not regret it!

Amazing photographer!!!!
Shelley has been our wedding photographer for about a year and a half due to the pandemic and having to postpone our original wedding. She has shot 2 different engagement photo shoots for us along with FINALLY shooting our small, intimate wedding ceremony and reception a few weeks ago! It was a beautiful day and we love our sneak peak photo gallery we just received from her. Shelley is absolutely amazing!! She is so professional and is able to really capture some beautiful and magical moments! We have gotten to know her over the year and she is such a pleasure to work with! She will make sure you are having fun which helps things feel so natural! We 100% recommend Shelley as your wedding photographer!! You will not regret your decision!!

Beautiful Pictures and Wonderful Person
Shelley is an incredible artist and a joy to work with! I am typically very awkward in front of a camera and I was nervous that I would be constantly aware that I had a lens on me but Shelley made me feel so comfortable - it was even fun! She even brought a shower curtain to my bridal portraits to make sure the ground didn't stain my dress which is something I would have never thought about. She has a gift for capturing a moment without making you aware that you're being photographed.
She got along so well with everyone at the wedding and was amazing with the little kids. She was very respectful of our time with our guests while also finding the time to get some amazing shots of us when the lighting was exceptional. Her ability to capture candid moments is astounding. We were so excited to see the final shots she delivered because they brought our wedding day to life again and we know that they will continue to do so for years to come.
I cannot recommend Shelley enough! You will love working with her, just like I did!

I could not have asked for a better photographer!
I met with Shelley at a coffee shop a little over a year before our wedding. She was so sincere, kind, and knowledgeable that I knew I had to go with her. Her rates were on the high to middle end, but to me photographs are worth every penny. She was flexible with our engagement shoot dates, she gave lots of suggestions, and made both my fiance and I feel amazing during the whole shoot. She kept in contact up to the wedding confirming times, photos we would like to get, and she was flexible on our payment method! On the day of she had an assistant with her, that is the package we selected, but she does offer other packages at different rates. Her assistant was just as kind and amazing as she was. She was also in charge when trying to get all of the family photos in a timely manor, she may be petite but she can manage a crowd perfectly. I had full trust in her for our wedding day and could not have asked for a more sweet, thoughtful, or amazing photographer!

Hire this woman!! I absolutely loved working with Shelley, from my first correspondence and phone call with her to our first in person meeting she made me feel comfortable and like a partner during the entire process. Her photography is gorgeous and I was very happy that she had shot at my venue before and was comfortable with the space and looks. I was slightly worried about how she would get on with my fiance (who is weird about taking pictures) but she immediately got his random movie references and I knew it was a photographer match made in heaven! Shelley was very flexible to work with, helping me come up with a package that included everything I was looking for. She was readily available and quick to respond when I had questions about planning and the wedding timeline. I am so excited to have worked with Shelley and wish I lived in Austin so I could hire her for all my photography needs.

Shelley was the perfect photographer for our wedding! I am an awkward person, and she made the whole process of posing feel comfortable and fun. Shelley even worked some magic to get the kids (one flower girl in particular) in bright spirits so we wouldn't have grumpy faces in all of the pictures. She delivered the final bunch of photos in a timely manner and I couldn't be happier with them. I have gotten so many compliments from the photos that I've shared; Shelley clearly has ample experience in making natural light work and look spectacular. She's also such a fun and positive person, perfect to have around on what is normally such a stressful day :)

Shelley was perfect for my daughter and her fiancee! She really made them relax and enjoy the experience. She shot their engagement pictures, bridal portraits and wedding pictures. She gets the job done without being bossy or pushy. She is always pleasant and in a good mood. She is on time, timely with her product and a professional in every way.
