Such a special location!
We were so lucky to be able to get married at the Shelburne Museum. (We got married on the Circus Lawn and had our reception in the Round Barn). Louis was a treat to work with. We initially thought we'd need to hire a day of coordinator, but we were pleased to learn Louis handles all those duties for the wedding. Our guests were so charmed by the museum, even with a little rain on our wedding day, everyone had a fabulous time. This venue is highly recommended.Sent on 09/15/2019

Shelburne Museum is (dare I say it) the best kept wedding secret in the Twin States. Not only is every inch of these grounds magical, but wedding guests tour for free and 100% of the venue proceeds go into the museum's arts and education program. But believe it or not, that isn't even the best part of this spectacular spot: the events coordinator, Louis, is the star.Sent on 10/02/2016
Louis was forever at the ready to answer questions, guide us around the campus, and offer solutions and creative ideas. He made every aspect of the wedding planning process enjoyable. When we were at Shelburne (and Louis encouraged us to come often and at our convenience), Louis treated us like we were his number one priority. No matter how busy he was, he made it seem as though the only thing he had to do was to make sure we left feeling happy and prepared for our big day.
And happy and prepared, we were. Our wedding day was nothing short of spectacular, thanks to Louis and his staff. He managed all vendors beautifully + tracked time seamlessly, resulting in a flawless execution of all ceremony and reception festivities. Louis even found us and our photographer at sunset to snap a few final photos, which also give me and my husband a few special minutes alone to absorb the day's happenings and celebrate our first few hours as husband + wife.
We will be forever grateful to Louis and to Shelburne Museum for giving us a day filled with beauty and wonder and kindness. Any couple would be lucky to have the chance to experience the joy that is a wedding at Shelburne Museum.

We had our ceremony on the Brick House lawn overlooking Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. It is a hidden, but absolutely beautiful spot. The reception was in the Round Barn with plenty of space for food, music, dancing, a photo booth. The grounds at the museum are vast and there are some amazing photo ops including a covered bridge, ponds, gardens, willow trees, and of course - the carousel.Sent on 12/16/2016
But the BEST part of having the wedding at Shelburne Museum was Louis (the event coordinator). He was so on top of everything, we could not have done it without him. He kept us calm and organized throughout the whole process. We were able to sit back and actually enjoy our wedding day. His support alone was worth the price of the venue!
We love working with Louis at Shelburne Museum and look forward to many upcoming events there!
