My wife and I couldn't be happier with Shawn's work on (and before and after) our wedding day.

We were initially impressed with her no-nonsense consultation when she dove right into the details of the wedding planning. She was one of the first wedding vendors we spoke with, and fortunately she was patient and thorough in her consultation, going through many points that we hadn't even thought about yet.

On the day itself, she was flexible and in-charge. She got tons of great shots of our ceremony (finding all the nooks and crannies in the church that we had hoped she would) and had wedding party and family photos taken in great time (due to great planning and to her efficiency). She was comfortable, too, though. It was easy to smile the whole time because she was friendly and kind while keeping the process moving. She's a clear pro.

The final results were everything we had hope they would be. There are beautiful candid shots of family and friends at both the ceremony and reception, fun spontaneous shots, and some really beautiful shots (like...blow it up and hang it over the mantle, beautiful) of my wife and me.

We would highly suggest Shawn to engaged couples looking for honest, fun, beautiful wedding photos. Even if you're a photographer (like my wife) or just picky (like me) you'll love the experience.

My wife and I decided last minute to get married 4th of July at her family beach house in Wallis Sands. Despite the short notice and cold beach weather, Shawn was able to take on the task and ended up capturing the most amazing photos of our wedding. We appreciated her ability to capture the great candid moments, as well as instruct us how to pose whenever necessary. The pictures were amazing and we love the aesthetics of all the shots she captured. 10 out of 10 would recommend Shawn for any photography needs!

There certainly is not enough I could say about the beautiful work of Shawn Tomkinson. Our relationship began 11 years ago when after interviewing about 20 wedding photographers, I feel in love with her photo journalistic style. Looking at sample photos of weddings that Shawn shot, I could tell that she was going to be able to capture those special moments with raw emotion and she did just that. I can't just pick one favorite picture that Shawn took of my wedding because they are all so beautiful, but she captured a special one of my husband and I when we were peeking into the function hall all decorated and ready to make our grand entrance. It's that attention to detail, that makes Shawn an amazing photographer. Shawn is much more than a photographer, she is a part of our little story in life. She has not just photographed our start in life with our engagement and wedding, but she has photographed our family as it has grown through the years.
