About
We are what we remember…we are our memories. Rooted in human psychology, Shahla Karimi jewelry seeks to capture the deep-seated longing of human beings to embrace and express their memories. Each piece of jewelry reveals a story, each collection romanticizes a memory of times past. All pieces are hand-made in New York City with recycled gold and conflict-free stones. The brand officially launched in S/S 15 and has adorned the hands and ears of Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Graham, Rebecca Hall, Lena Dunham, Carrie Underwood, Alexa Chung, Olivia Palermo, and Gigi Hadid and has been featured in over fifty publications including Elle, Vogue, AD, Harper’s Bazaar, Wallpaper, W, The Coveteur, InStyle, WWD, and NY Magazine and has been on the cover of Nylon, Women’s Health and Self. The line is sold exclusively online. The first Shahla Karimi concept guide shop opened in June 2020 in Brooklyn, New York.

Team
Shahla spends her days meeting with clients (in person and recently, more often, virtually), designing in 3D (her hand drawings are next-level terrible), emailing with customers, vendors, and handling general inquiries. She also works as the in-house CFO, CPO, plant nurse and office manager.
Shahla has worked in product strategy and merchandising for some of the world’s most esteemed brands and campaigns. She produced multiple apparel collections for Vogue and the CFDA, working with over 50 leading designers including DVF, Marchesa, and Alexander Wang. She also served as Director of Merchandising for President Obama’s re-election campaign. She is Kentucky bred and Brooklyn based.
Each day is different for Emma as she oversees all aspects of our jewelry, physical and digital. You can typically find her visiting our vendors in the diamond district or writing our newest blog post, in addition to posting to Instagram featuring our daily office antics — and some jewelry too.
A graduate from the FIT's fashion merchandising and product dev program, Emma worked in bridal and fine jewelry before aligning her two passions at Shahla Karimi.
