She took the most stunning photos that belong in a magazine. From the start, she was incredibly easy to work with. She took the time to understand what we wanted from the day, arrived early, and was extremely professional and prepared.

Her photography style is beautiful and timeless, and she has a real gift for capturing joy and emotion. She guided us when needed, but also gave us space to simply enjoy the moment, resulting in photos that feel natural, genuine, and full of love.

Emma was an absolute dream to work with. From the beginning, she prioritized our comfort and asked all the right questions to align with our wedding day vision. Her professionalism stood out — she responded quickly to emails, arrived early to everything, and connected with our wedding coordinator and DJ to understand the wedding day timeline. She recommended doing an engagement shoot beforehand, which was the perfect way to get to know her in a relaxed setting.

On the wedding day, she patiently managed to keep our huge families (>40 people each side) organized during group photos. She brought a second photographer she’s been working with for years, and they were absolutely spectacular together — perfectly in sync and capturing every angle and moment seamlessly. She went above and beyond by arriving to the venue a few hours earlier than us to find all the perfect photo spots, which only increased the efficiency of her work!

As promised, we got the “sneak peek” photos less than 3 days after the wedding, which is really the cherry on top! Emma captured everything — the feel of the venue, the laughter, the tears, the candid reactions and the little glances. Our wedding album is filled with pictures of heartfelt moments between family and friends, many of which we were too busy to catch during the rush of our wedding day. We’ll be recommending Emma to all our friends and family and will absolutely be using her for any future photo sessions!

Both our wedding planner and (separately) our venue owner recommended Shadowing Lights / Emma. They see a ton of different photographers' work and felt she was the best... and they were right! Emma did photos for our engagement, rehearsal dinner, and wedding - all absolutely stunning! She has the right balance between posed and spontaneous photos that really capture the moment. My husband and I got married in September of 2018. We had a great experience with Shadowing Lights! Our photographer, Emma, made the process smooth and she worked within our budget. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, she kept us in the loop and made sure that everything, leading up to the wedding day, was clear and not stressful for the both of us. We got all of the photos that we wanted; whether it was photos with our family, friends, our bridal party, and even the little details of our wedding day that we might have missed (since we were so busy).
