My dress went from pretty to absolutely gorgeous! Sew Chic changed the back of my dress from a zipper to a corset, added in a bustle, and made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. Affordable, professional, and fast! Cheaper than my David's Bridal estimate for sure!

Used Sew Chic to alter 1 Bridesmaid dress. Turnaround for altering multiple parts of bridesmaid dress took about 2 weeks. Dress was perfectly altered the first time and did not require additional alterations. Will continue to use them for future alteration needs.

I had my alterations done at Sew Chic. Barbara, the owner was always such a pleasure to work with. She was so detailed and organized in all of my fittings and the work done on my lace dress was exquisite. My dress fit like a glove! She was even able to help when one of my bridesmaids had a dress malfunction the day before the wedding and got her right in and out! I will definitely use Sew Chic again!

Sew Chic altered my wedding dress and they did a great job. It fit great, was very comfortable and the bustle was really easy - I had a scalloped hem that I was nervous about, and I shouldn't have been because it was perfect. I thought it was a little expensive, but I didn't get quotes from other places, so it may have been standard. But there were a couple of things she had to do that she didn't quote me for, and she didn't change the price so I didn't feel like she was trying to get the most out of me that she could. Everything was done on time exactly when she said it would be, and she even let me keep my dress there after it was ready so I didn't have to bring it to my apartment with dogs and a fiancé!

These ladies are so so nice! The flexibility is great I've been late, and even had to turn round and go home to get my corset and they were just fine with it. They even said I could come back the same day or the next. They're also incredibly quick, I went in for my first appointment 3 weeks before my wedding and they finished just under a week before the wedding! They're definitely more on the expensive side but if you want to go somewhere where you can feel comfortable saying exactly what you what and not feel judged and get real professionalism then I'd go for it. Think the only issue I had was that I didn't try on the dress after the last alterations and I wish I had as the front on the dress was a few centimeters too short and the whole day you could see my hoop showing at the front of my dress so all the pictures look weird. But it was my fault not trying it on and I was in a rush on the day getting dressed so I didn't notice until I was at the reception. Thank you Barbara and all the staff!

I felt that the cost was excessive but the work done was good.

Ehhh...I think my alterations were really overpriced to begin with (over $300 to take in the bodice, hem, add a one-point bustle, hem petticoat) and when I asked for less than a yard of lace to be added to the bodice, she charged me another 30 bucks. AND tried to say that she didn't include petticoat hemming in my original quote. I felt nickel and dimed here. Then 10 minutes before the ceremony the hook and eye at the top of my zipper popped off. Also, the fabric on top of the zipper didn't lay flat nor did the sweetheart neckline, which I paid to have fixed. Not really too impressed.

I was completely disappointed in Sew Chic. I was originally going to get my dress altered at the shop where I bought it, but the seamstress there could not work with my schedule. My mother contacted Sew Chic and was told that my dress would be no problem and that they could have it done in a week. When I took my dress to Sew Chic I was quoted nearly $1000 for the work I wanted and was told it wouldn't be ready for three weeks.
We scheduled a fitting every week for those three weeks up until the weekend before my wedding. Before every fitting I was told what would be accomplished when I got to that fitting and every time the items that were supposed to be completed were not. The day I was supposed to pick up my dress, the Saturday before my wedding, the dress was still not complete. I was told I could come in Sunday and it would be done, but at that point I had no faith in their lies.
The alterations that were done were done poorly, and my mom had to fix all of them. On top of that, my dress was not bustled properly.
This place was a complete rip off.
