Shopping for an engagement ring can be incredibly intimidating. You’re preparing to spend a lot of money on something that you hope your significant other will like. You’re typically talking with salespeople who are trying to downplay the price tag and upsell you on differences unnoticeable to the visual eye. All the while, they’re trying every trick in the book to rush you to a decision.

Fortunately for me, I found myself in Serjeo’s shop in downtown Boston. He was the first jeweler to talk to me like a person and not just a customer. I wanted to make sure I was choosing the right things, so I took a while to shop around, do my research, and decide on the setting and the diamond. I went to his shop multiple times and emailed him back and forth for feedback and advice. He listened to me, understood what I was looking for (and my budget), and helped me create the perfect ring for my bride-to-be.

She was thrilled with the ring, and I was thrilled with the process of creating it. Serjeo went beyond making me feel comfortable, he made me feel like a friend. I am not typically one to be “loyal” to any store or brand, but I can confidently say that I have “my jeweler,” whom I have already gone back to for our wedding rings.

Less than a week after I got my engagement ring sized by another jeweler, I had a bride-to-be's nightmare: a diamond had popped out! I was devastated, convinced it was my fault, and found Serjeo's business through Yelp to get it repaired.

First off, he is such a wonderful guy. He not only was genuinely interested in my story, but he was able to clearly explain why the diamond fell out in the first place. When the last jeweler resized it, he didn't tighten the prongs around the stones -- so when Serjeo touched the larger diamond, it moved! (And I wanted to throw up). He replaced the missing diamond and fixed the rest of them.

Honestly, my ring repaired by Serjeo looks better than it did in the box!

I had to wait a week for an appointment, but it was worth it -- I had my ring back on my hand in two days! And it cost much less than I anticipated. For engagement rings you want the best care, because they're so sentimental, and he gets that. He IS that.

We found Serjeo through yelp.com, and we are so lucky we did. Serjeo has played such an important role in our engagement and getting married. He books out pretty far in advance, so don't expect to get an appointment within a few days...THIS MEANS HE IS THAT GOOD!!! He only works by appointment so call or email. That is because he takes the time to sit down with you, get to know you, talk to you about what you envision and what you want. Then, with his years of experience and expertise, he creates something beautiful that exceeds your highest expectations.

Serjeo was able to take the stone fro my mother-in-law's engagement ring and create a gorgeous new engagement ring for me. My husband and I had looked at rings, and liked elements of many different rings, but Serjeo took the best of everything and created something so unique; nobody will ever have a ring just like mine, and that makes it even more special. Fast forward a year and we wanted to set a gem stone that my father had collected into my mother-in-law's engagement ring, have it cleaned and resized, and gift it back to her for Mother's day...Serjeo was able to do this for us within about a week or so and it turned out so beautifully.

THEN, he created a wedding band which goes perfectly with my engagement ring, and he included design details from the engagement ring into the wedding band. He has such a keen attention to detail.

Finally, he cleans, polishes, and treats your jewelry with rhodium as needed for life.
