My husband and I had SO MUCH FUN designing our wedding bands at Stonybrook! It felt so special to create bands for one another. Our bands are so much more meaningful to us because of it. We worked with Kylie, who was thoughtful, attentive, and very knowledgeable. From day one, she helped us choose the right materials for our proposed design. On the day of, she was so helpful and knowledgeable, and a lot of fun to work with. Highly recommend Stonybrook to make your wedding even more special.

Kylie ran a lovely workshop for the two of us! It was a beautiful experience, and we are so proud of and happy with our wedding bands. Every family member has been awed by our work, and by our joint name we engraved inside our rings.

Before the workshop, she arranged consultations to explain the process and so we could hold metal samples against our ring fingers. It was a lot of fun to see everything from rose gold to fancy sterling silver alloys for comparison. We loved platinum the most, both for the color and the symbolism of a metal that won't wear away over time. She even helped us through the process of finding a beautiful engagement ring to use our heirloom gems!

The day of the workshop was a lot of fun, of course. She led us through the ring-making process on silver first, so that we could practice the whole thing; we kept the practice rings as well, and they'll be great backups for when we're traveling. We took a break for lunch, then got to work on the platinum. With our practice, it was smooth sailing - though my partner did need Kylie's help after splitting the ring while sizing it. Kylie did exactly the right amount so that we weren't worried about having a bad result, and still got to do it ourselves; we were talking the whole time, getting guidance whenever necessary, but our two wedding bands are 100% and 99% our own handiwork.

Whenever I look closely at our last name inside my band, and see the "I" that I engraved just a little deeper than all the other letters, I will think about what a wonderful life we have when we get to do things together, and what a wonderful experience the two of us had with Kylie.

Working with Kylie to make our wedding rings was a fantastic experience. She was very knowledgeable about her craft; was a really great "curator" of the experience, and was a good hang for 5 hours. We got to practice on silver rings first - and now my fiancé gets to wear that as an engagement ring. Our rings look amazing, and we can't wait to exchange them.

We had an amazing experience taking the wedding ring-making class at KyneticArts! Kylie was wonderful from start to finish. She was great with communication beforehand, explaining our options and what to expect, and during the class she was patient and encouraging, and she did a fantastic job explaining and demonstrating each step.

She has a great sense of humor and made us feel completely at home. We had so much fun making our rings, and they came out absolutely gorgeous!

Kylie is amazing! She was prompt, energetic, and clearly very knowledgeable. We had a great time making our wedding rings with her, and we're thrilled with how they turned out. We had no experience with making jewelry but with her guidance, we were able to do almost everything with our own hands, which made the final product even more special to us. We would definitely recommend making wedding bands with her, or anything else for that matter.

I definitely think most people should make their own wedding bands (especially with Kylie at Stonybrook Metal Arts and Sculpture School). It was a great process, really cool to learn new skills together, and the finished product is awesome!
