We're Select Receptions! A Syracuse, NY based Wedding service specializing in custom tailored wedding receptions.
Unlike most, we never use a cheesy, cookie-cutter wedding playlist. With Select Receptions, you can expect personalized music selections built upon your requests, made in your own online planning portal. We're experts at reading the crowd, and we're famous for packed dance-floors.
Unless you specifically request songs like the YMCA, The Chicken Dance, etc., we automatically place those and similar music in the do-not-play category. Because these are songs that people either LOVE or HATE, I defer to my client's tastes on them. Your wedding reception should be remembered as FUN, and uniquely you. To bring your vision to life, I'm available for as much planning as is needed. Consult with me personally anytime.

I had the great pleasure of working with Kirk at Select Receptions for the first time a few weeks ago and if it were up to me (which it usually is in my line of work!), it most certainly will not be the last time! Kirk is fun, yet professional - an important balance for wedding day entertainment - and completely tuned in to the energy of the wedding guests. He was flexible when it came to timing on things like intros and cake cutting (when you just HAVE to take advantage of some amazing light for photos!) and he packed the dance floor with ease. When the announcement of the first guest shuttle trip back to the hotel was met with a resounding "BOO" from the packed dance floor, I knew that Kirk the DJ was doing something right! The bride and groom were thrilled, the guests were thrilled and I would highly recommend them to any couple.
