awesome bakery! I have been going here since i was a kid it is family owned. awesome food and treats, they did a beautiful job with my cake-cupcakes!!!

Scialo's did a nice job with our cake. It looked great and tasted great, especially for the price. I would suggest bringing a photo of the cake you want with you because they do not have many photos to look at.

My husband happened to stumble upon this bakery shortly after moving to East Providence. We love all their baked goods and thought, wow, this would be amazing if they can do our wedding cake. We went one afternoon to inquire and got to speak with their cake baker. She was very nice and instead of setting up a sit down tasting, she gave a us a box (a large box) of all their cake flavors to try at home. I thought this was nice, not what I was expecting from a professional baker, but ok. We tried all of them and fell in love the red velvet which ultimately became our choice. It was hard to communicate with the baker trying to arrange times to meet when we were both available. We brought her a picture of exactly what I wanted, basically just a duplicate. She said it wasn't a problem. It was extremely basic, just 3 tier, plain white fondant with purple ribbon fondant going around the bottom of each layer. We decided to do a dummy cake which worked out well and saved a lot of $$$.

When I finally saw the the cake at the reception, my first thought was "it's ok". It was much more round than I wanted and the ribbon was slightly sloppy. Don't get me wrong, it was nice, I just didn't get that wow factor as everything in my wedding had been. It did taste great and everyone loved the red velvet and the chocolate sheet cakes we had! I would recommend this bakery but be very specific with what you want. We still frequent the bakery for all their delicious treats!

We had an amazing sheet cake at our wedding with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, and they made us a 4-tiered "fake" cake to cut during the reception. The sheet cake was absolutely delicious, and the fake cake was beautifully decorated. It was difficult to find a time to meet with the manager and discuss our expectations, but definitely worth going back and forth a little bit.

The decorations on the cake was terrible. They delivered the cake five minutes to starting the wedding and it looked melted. The fondant looked as if it was tearing away from each other. The drapes hung down instead of draping around the cake. There were no flowers on the top cake around the initials. I wish when I brought the photo to them they would have been honest with me and told me they could not do the job.
