Jules is the BEST!
My fiance and I cannot say enough amazing things about Jules! From our first interaction with her we have been blown away. We recently had our engagement shoot around Boston and she made it fun and relaxed, even in the pouring rain! We even had previews of the shoot within a few hours! All of our photos came out beyond stunning, her work is incredible. We cannot wait for her to shoot our wedding next July!! If you're looking for not only an amazing photographer but an amazing experience, you must book Jules aka Scarlet Roots!!! :)

Working with Jules has been an excellent experience so far. My fiancé, Bridget, and I contracted with Jules for our wedding photos and engagement photos. Although our wedding is not until summer 2019, we had such an awesome experience with Jules during the engagement shoot that we wanted to get a review out here now.
Leading up to our engagement shoot, Jules’ communication via email and text was very helpful as it kept both my fiancé and I in the loop with regards to plans for the shoot: what to bring, what to wear, where to meet up, etc. The forecast was a bit unfavorable (or so we thought), calling for rain during the time of our scheduled engagement shoot. Not to worry however, Jules was on the ball and reached out early in the day to see if we wanted to reschedule, while assuring us that cloudy skies in-fact make for excellent photos. Trusting her expert advice, we decided to move forward with the shoot, and lone behold, the photos came out fantastic/ flawless.
This was the first time either of us have posed for a photo shoot in such a public setting; this being said, we really didn’t know what to expect. Posing for 100s of photos in a very public location like Boston Public Garden can be intimidating, but Jules quickly helped both of us get acclimated and just have fun with it. Before we knew it, we didn’t even notice the bystanders watching us. As far as we knew, we were the only two in the park on that mid-week summer evening.
Jules’ creativity is hands-down amazing! We are very pleased with the photos and have received countless comments about them. We particularly like how Jules captured shots of us in our natural element: laughing and having a great time.
Just a couple hours after the engagement shoot, while we were enjoying dinner at Moo, we both received a text from Jules: a “sneak peek” of about 5 photos from the shoot. Sending

Julianne was an absolute pleasure to work with! We could not have picked a better photographer for our needs in the Boston area. Not only was she very professional, but also such a sweet-heart and incredible photographer! We chose Julianne for our engagement photos because we liked her overall aesthetic (use of lighting/color/posing/composition). Before, during, and after the shoot, communication was always very clear and prompt. My fiancé and I (not to mention all our family and friends) are so in love with our photos! So happy she was able to capture our moment.
