I get emotional thinking about how incredibly beautiful our wedding ceremony was! Betsy is such an amazing officiant and gave us the ceremony of our dreams. From our very first conversation with her, it was clear how passionate she is and that she truly cares deeply about every couple she works with. She really took the time to get to know us, our story, and our love for each other and to understand exactly what we had in mind for our ceremony. She wrote the loveliest words for us and delivered them beautifully, and incorporated spiritual and symbolic elements in the most perfect way. I can't say enough good things about Betsy! I reached out to about 15 officiants in the area, but from my very first email with Betsy, I knew she was the right fit. She was warm, knowledgeable, helpful, and incredibly thorough. I also loved her website, which shared details about her musician husband, her time living in different states (including the Northeast, like us), and her background as Miss Illinois, a singer, and an actress. She radiated confidence, warmth, and worldliness from the start.

Betsy guided us through the process of applying for a marriage certificate online in a different county, which not only saved us time but also money. Since we were coming from out of state, I had several general questions - like caterer recommendations - and she was always more than willing to help in any way she could.

On the day of the wedding, she arrived promptly and handled all of the necessary documentation ahead of the ceremony. The ceremony script she created for us was absolutely beautiful. I really appreciated that she welcomed my input and edits with such patience and grace. Her delivery during the ceremony was flawless-- lighthearted and funny at just the right moments, yet sincere and heartfelt when it mattered most.

Her husband, Bill, even joined us and kindly captured a few photos to hold us over until our professional ones arrived.

All in all, I cannot recommend Rev. Betsy highly enough! She brought such joy, poise, and professionalism to our day, and we’re so grateful she was a part of it.

I can’t recommend Betsy enough. We spoke with a number of officiants during our planning process, and Betsy’s warmth, kindness, and guidance through the process (even prior to booking) immediately made her stand out. She made herself available for calls any and every time we needed, offered a tremendous amount of flexibility for our logistically complex wedding, and brought an engaging presence to our ceremony.

During the planning process, she began by walking us through the various ceremony styles and options, then drafted a beautiful, customized ceremony script based on our requests and personal information provided through an easy questionnaire. She then collaborated with us on a number of revisions to perfect the ceremony.

On the day of the wedding, she was a calming and reassuring presence. She happily pitched in with our team of vendors to ensure our day went smoothly, even in areas that weren’t strictly in her scope - like taking pictures of signing our marriage license when our photographer was pulled away.


Her husband Bill also offered beautiful music and sound set up for us. The Say I Do team is excellent and helped make our day so special.

We had a destination wedding in Hilton Head, so we were not familiar with many vendors from that area. Our venue recommended Betsy, and we could not be more pleased with her services. She met with us for coffee a few months before our ceremony. The fact that she took the time to do that showed that she really cared about us and being a part of our special day. Betsy is so genuine and kind, she really felt like family from the moment we met her.
In regards to our ceremony, I can't even begin to describe how beautiful it was. She made sure to make it custom to us and our relationship. We are still getting compliments from guests, even weeks after our wedding. You HAVE to use Betsy. I promise you will not be disappointed!

Betsy was heaven sent to my now husband and I! She got to know us both and incorporated into our ceremony things about us as if she knew us for our whole life.
