Rev. David officiated our wedding. He was so great and easy to talk to! We did a destination wedding so didn't know anyone in the area to officiate, but when we found A Wedding in Paradise we hit the jackpot. Rev. David was excellent at making our ceremony feel intimate and personal with only knowing us for a couple of day. I would certainly recommend him to anyone getting married in the Hilton Head area.

My husband and I got married in November 2021 at Palmetto Bluff. We were getting married on-site and looking for an officiant to travel to us. We had a few suggestions from the team at Palmetto Bluff, but thanks to fate, they were booked. We ended up getting referred to Dr. Leininger, and he was an absolute pleasure from the start. He works with you to customize the ceremony to fit you as a couple. From vows to readings, he provides guidance but leaves the decision completely up to you.

If my husband and I were honest, we would have told you that we saw our ceremony as the step before the real party, but our experience couldn't have been further from that expectation. Dr. Leininger created the most beautiful, personalized, and intimate ceremony that ended up being our most favorite part of the day (and don't worry! He did all of this in the ~25 minutes we asked for). Afterward, guests came up to us to ask if he was family or if we had just known him forever. Neither! But he takes the time to make it feel that way.

Do yourself a favor and book him! Early!

Dr Leininger brought humor and joy to our ceremony. The process for selecting a custom ceremony was so much fun for us but David didn't just read the passages we had selected, rather he added his own touches that created an extra special moment for us to enjoy. David was such a pleasure to work with for our wedding ceremony officiant. He was so responsive and quick to get back to us from the minute we first reached out. He even made time for us to meet him in person prior to our ceremony when we visited Hilton Head for some final wedding planning details a month prior to our destination wedding. The process for selecting how you want your ceremony done makes it so much easier as well. We had at least a dozen or so guests ask if we had written our own vows. That was how personal his message was. Definitely worth the hire if you want someone who is going to make your wedding ceremony feel like he's known you your whole life. He even printed out our vows for us to have a hard copy to read each year on our anniversary. 100% recommend hiring David if you are looking for an incredible wedding ceremony that is both personal and intimate.

He was very helpful and organized and we booked soon after. And the website made it super easy to read and select all the elements of the ceremony we wanted. He helped us through the planning process and even offered his opinion when he thought our lack of choices may make the ceremony too short. He was also very friendly and put my husband and I at ease during rehearsal and wedding day. We selected David as our officiant for our wedding at my husband's family home on Callawassie Island simply because of his personality and how perfectly he fit with us...not to mention, he comes highly recommended. Planning a wedding from afar has its challenges, however, David provided crystal clear instruction and expectations. His website forms were extremely easy to use and had the detail we were looking for while planning our ceremony. We loved how we were able to customize our nuptials through his website.

My fiance even forgot the marriage license and David calmly let him know he had to make it happen and get the license! He is very personable and respectful! Our wedding day was great and due to the rain, the first one we have ever attended where "kiss the bride" didn't happen until we scrambled inside. David was contacted last minute for our wedding when our officiant fell through. You would absolutely have no idea that it was last minute. He performed our ceremony not only very professionally but with lovely personal touches. He took into account what we wanted to include in our ceremony and expanded on it in his own unique way. We chose David as our officiant for our semi-destination wedding at my husband's family home on Hilton Head Island.
