Rev. David officiated our wedding. He was so great and easy to talk to! We did a destination wedding so didn't know anyone in the area to officiate, but when we found A Wedding in Paradise we hit the jackpot. Rev. David was excellent at making our ceremony feel intimate and personal with only knowing us for a couple of day. I would certainly recommend him to anyone getting married in the Hilton Head area. -

Working with Rev. Dr. David Leininger was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! He is charming, thoughtful, funny, eloquent, and so easy to work with!
My husband and I got married in November 2021 at Palmetto Bluff. We were getting married on-site and looking for an officiant to travel to us. We had a few suggestions from the team at Palmetto Bluff, but thanks to fate, they were booked. We ended up getting referred to Dr. Leininger, and he was an absolute pleasure from the start. He works with you to customize the ceremony to fit you as a couple. From vows to readings, he provides guidance but leaves the decision completely up to you.
If my husband and I were honest, we would have told you that we saw our ceremony as the step before the real party, but our experience couldn't have been further from that expectation. Dr. Leininger created the most beautiful, personalized, and intimate ceremony that ended up being our most favorite part of the day (and don't worry! He did all of this in the ~25 minutes we asked for). Afterward, guests came up to us to ask if he was family or if we had just known him forever. Neither! But he takes the time to make it feel that way.
Do yourself a favor and book him! Early! -

David is the bonus to your wedding!
We selected David as our officiant for our wedding at my husband's family home on Callawassie Island simply because of his personality and how perfectly he fit with us...not to mention, he comes highly recommended. Planning a wedding from afar has its challenges, however, David provided crystal clear instruction and expectations. His website forms were extremely easy to use and had the detail we were looking for while planning our ceremony. We loved how we were able to customize our nuptials through his website.
My fiance even forgot the marriage license and David calmly let him know he had to make it happen and get the license! He is very personable and respectful! Our wedding day was great and due to the rain, the first one we have ever attended where "kiss the bride" didn't happen until we scrambled inside. We highly recommend David to share your special day! -

David was contacted last minute for our wedding when our officiant fell through. You would absolutely have no idea that it was last minute. He performed our ceremony not only very professionally but with lovely personal touches. He took into account what we wanted to include in our ceremony and expanded on it in his own unique way. We would not hesitate to recommend him for anyone's wedding. He is excellent at what he does. -

We chose David as our officiant for our semi-destination wedding at my husband's family home on Hilton Head Island. We've been visiting HHI for many years, but planning a wedding from afar was a new adventure! David made everything easy. His website was very user friendly and contained all the information we needed to plan a destination wedding. We were able to be on the island several months before our wedding and David made a point to stop by and visit with us. It was nice to meet him in person before our big day, but he is so friendly and easy to talk to this wouldn't have been necessary. I loved how we were able to customize our nuptials through his website and he even provided a printed copy as a keepsake that day. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and David played a big role in making sure that happened! He's a great choice to share your special day! Reverend Leininger was the best wedding officiant! We are both so glad we went through him because he made the process super easy and let us personalize the ceremony to be whatever we wanted! We went through his website and picked out every aspect of our wedding. We wanted to add a sand ceremony and write our own vows and Reverend Leininger made that possible. He came to our rehearsal and walked us through all the details of the next day. He also took our marriage license and sent it off to the courthouse to get filed so we never had to worry about it! I can not express how happy we are that we choose him! He was fabulous!! -

Sweet Meaningful Ceremony
Dr. Leininger officiated at our sweet little wedding. We had a small ceremony with a few family members present. We each had been married before so we wanted something small and meaningful. Dr Leininger gave us selections to choose from for the ceremony and by doing so we could make it fit our lives. It felt very personal. He also graciously allowed my brother-in-law to take part in officiating in the ceremony. The result was a very sweet meaningful ceremony that we will long remember. It was a very special day. We certainly would recommend him. -

Reverend Leininger was wonderful to work with! We were planning our wedding from across the country, and once we talked to him on the phone we knew he was a perfect fit. He allows you to personalize the pieces of your wedding to make it a perfect match for the two of you! Our guests commented all through the night about how great our ceremony was. -

A Perfect Day
Dr. Leininger really made our ceremony perfect. He made the whole planning process easy for us, since we didn't live in Hilton Head and we felt very comfortable having him as our officiant. He made our ceremony personable to us and we loved that! He communicated with us and really made our ceremony memorable. He such a sweet and kind person. I'm so happy we chose him! Class Act!
My Husband and I got married on September 22, 2018! Reverend Leininger made our wedding very classic, simple but made it all about LOVE! He was so easy to work with and very professional and kind. We met for breakfast one day to go over our wedding and he had lots of funny stories and words of wisdom that we will keep through out our marriage! -

For the ceremony, his website was easy to navigate which allowed us to customize the ceremony to fit us ensuring it was not hurried and a very memorable event for us and our families. He was professional and very personable, as he not only attended and officiated our wedding, but also took time to attend our wedding rehearsal party and meet a few of our guest. Our wedding happened to coincide with his 40th wedding anniversary and we were truly appreciative and impressed with his flexibility and commitment!
