Hello! I am Sarah Paira and I am an on-location makeup artist located in Portland, Oregon. I am more than happy to serve the greater Portland Metro area. I am willing to travel elsewhere as well :) As of Jan 2024 my books are not yet opened as I take time to get settled in Portland and revive my makeup kit. At this time I no longer am serving the PA-NJ-NY tristate region, Denver, or Las Vegas -- unless of course clients are willing to provide financial accomdations to do so :)

I have been doing makeup for over a decade and have additional experience working for both MAC Cosmetics and MAKEUP FOREVER. This cumulative experience has given me the opportunity to work with a very diverse clientele and I am proud to offer gender expansive services on any and all skin tones.

I have a unique relationship to the beauty industry and my beauty philosophy is informed by a critical approach to the industry itself, but with a love for artistry, creativity, and expression. I take seriously meeting clients where they are at and working with them to create their desired look, while ensuring they feel comfortable every step of the way. As a social worker and policy advocate in my 9-5, I am able to come to this aspect of my work with a trauma-informed lens and take seriously the intimate nature of working so closely to people. Not only do I get to spend wedding, baptism, and baby shower days with my clients, but I have also been there to support clients on the days they lay their loved ones to rest. While makeup itself may be superficial, this is heart work. It remains a great honor to be trusted by my clients on some of the most significant and memorable days of their lives.

Makeup starts with skin! I always prepare and prime everything with sincere attention to ensure that my brides and all clients are really glowing! This behind the scenes magic is a crucial part of the end result! You can count on skincare and nutritional guidance as being part of my trial-day regimen leading up to your wedding day or other special event.
