Sarah was great!!! I got married in Hawaii coming from the East Coast. I found her thru wedding wire and fall in love with her portfolio. I contacted her and I knew right away that she was going to be my stylist and make up artist. The plan at the beginning was to have a trial prior to the wedding however flying from east coast to Hawaii is brutal and I did not have enough time to meet with her. On the day of the wedding ( sunrise wedding) she came on time and did an excellent job. I could not have asked for more. She is very professional, definitely knows what she is doing and her personality is great. Overall it exceeded my expectations. Thanks Sarah!

Sarah is as genuine as they come. When my husband and I decided to elope to Oahu, all our arrangements were made from abroad and on short notice. It wasn't until 10 days before our actual wedding that I decided to have my hair and makeup professionally done. While browsing the web, I stumbled across Sarah's website. My interest was immediately captured. Warm, colorful, full of life...it was definitely characteristic of Sarah's individuality. With crossed fingers, I contacted Sarah and received nothing but prompt responses and excellent communication. All information was provided up front and I never once felt left in the dark. Without time for a trial session, I completely entrusted my entire wedding look in Sarah's hands. On the big day, she arrived on time, fully prepared with what I like to call "magic cases", and transformed me into the picturesque bride I dreamed of becoming. AMAZING! Sarah with Sarah la Glam did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for my wedding day, and made me look exactly like I hoped I would! In the planning phases, she was very helpful via e-mail and always responded to me quickly. I considered several stylists for my wedding day and am so thankful I chose Sarah. Definitely the right choice! It was my first time to wear false eyelashes and airbrush makeup (which she offers at no additional cost) and I loved it! My fiancee (now husband) couldn't stop complementing me the day of our wedding which made me feel great, of course, and was a great compliment to her skills! Sarah la Glam is amazing! We had a destination wedding in Poipu, Kauai, and Sarah travelled the island to do the hair and makeup for myself and my 5 bridesmaids. Sarah and her team did an absolutely wonderful job on the day. They replicated the various hairstyles my bridesmaids wanted from photos to perfection and also did a great, natural looking job with the makeup. They were also extremely efficient and ran right to schedule. Sarah was fantastic to deal with in the lead up to wedding, responding to emails promptly and answering any questions I had. I would absolutely recommend Sarah la Glam without hesitation.

I had a formal event to attend and I'm awful with hair and makeup when it comes to these kinds of things. I typically drive to a hair salon, then drive to a makeup counter to have those services done - it's exhausting and expensive - and I'd end up buying makeup I didn't need. I was ecstatic to find that not only is Sarah's work amazing, but her prices are such a great deal, not to mention that she travels to you! Way to make a girl feel like a rock star.

I had fabulous makeup and hair done with her and the compliments I got that evening and on my photos have been overwhelming. She's quick to respond, on-time and extremely professional. She did not even get upset when my cat started rummaging through her purse! I can't wait to find more opportunities to work with her again - she's so great to work with!

Sarah did a fantastic job on everyone in my wedding party. I received so many compliments, specifically on my hair and makeup! She is truly gifted at her job and incredibly easy to work with. She was very calm and flexible even though everyone in my wedding party was running late. Sarah was especially great at understanding and executing exactly what I wanted despite my inability to articulate what I was going for. I would definitely book her again!

Being a destination bride I was a bit weary about booking these things from a far, however it was effortless with SarahThey modified my package to include my mother's primping which was great. My look was really simple, but some of my bridesmaids really wanted a glamourous look, Sarah and her team really captured what they wanted and got them looking beautiful. Seriously, the bridesmaids couldn't stop taking pictures of how good they looked! I normally don't get my hair done and I don't wear makeup, but after Sarah got me glammed up, I think I should start. Sarah was fast and efficient and I was done in no time! Thank you to the lovely ladies in Sarah's group for making my bridal party gorgeous for my big day and chatting with us about the latest hollywood gossip too :) Heart you all!

When it came to my hair & makeup vendor, the things I looked at were prices, quality of work, and did I mention prices?!  When I found Sarah, I couldn't believe  how reasonable her prices were in comparison to the quality of her work!  What I noticed with other vendors was that a lot of them have fees for EVERYTHING!!

- travel/ location fee: I don't get this one, isn't that the nature of their on location business?!
- extra charge if you want lashes
- extra charge if you want airbrush makeup

Before you know it, you've racked up almost $100 in extra charges. One of the things that initially attracted me to Sarah was all of those "extras" are INCLUDED in the base prices. Not only does she include travel,lashes and airbrush into the price she also gives you a FREE touch up kit!!       

Now on to her work. Her portfolio is very diverse. I was looking at other artists work on their websites and found a lot of them to be very one note.  What I noticed with Sarah is she can do soft and natural, she can do glamorous, or she can do polished and sophisticated.  

So let's recap. Great work, great prices, free stuff

Sarah is a phenomenal hair and makeup artist. I mean top notch. I am so thankful for the internet and wedding blogs because if it weren't for them, I would have never found her! Sarah did my hair and makeup for my wedding on Oahu on 1/20/12. I sent her an email to see if she was available the day of the wedding, and just a day or two later, she emailed me to confirm that she was! She was very friendly and courteous and right off the bat I knew I had made the right choice.

I met with Sarah 4 days prior to the wedding for a trial. Being from San Francisco, the salon was a bit difficult to find (it's on the top floor of what looks to be an office building), but after a couple of circles around the block we found it and parked in the private lot along the side of the building.

Sarah came off as very sweet and welcoming. She was really easy to talk to. I told her the look I was going for was classic glam and the end result was much more than I had anticipated. She had transformed me completely! I was so sad to have to take my fabulous hair and makeup off, but I didn't want the groom to see me all glammed up before the big day :)

The day of the wedding, Sarah was right on time with her kits in tow. I didn't think it was possible, but she did an even more amazing job that day than she did at the trial. She hid a few scars on my chest that I've suffered from since I was a child with some concealer and her airbrush system. She provides you with free falsies (false lashes) and a touch up kit (powder and lipstick). My makeup was flawless and lasted throughout the ceremony and reception (I did have to blot with oil-absorbing wipes just once because of my oily t-zone and had to retouch my red lipstick because of all the kissing :)). Our family and friends are still raving about how "gorgeous" and "stunning" I looked and I owe a lot of that to Sarah!

I can't express how much I LOVED working with Sarah!!! Not only is she an amazing artist but she is exceptionally professional and such a blast to be around! Most beauty venders you will find in Hawaii are pretty good at makeup but their hairstyling skills will leave much to be desired. Sarah is a formally trained hairstylist AND makeup artist. I think she mentioned she studied cosmetology at Paul Mitchell. She also said that other companies hire her to do their hairstyling for them, so you might as well book her anyway, hehehe!

I am not someone who typically wears much makeup, or any makeup actually! So I was a little nervous about getting my makeup done, but at the same time I knew I needed help. I first contacted Sarah and set up a face to face consultation and instantly I knew she was my girl. I swear while I was talking with her, she made me feel like I had known her for years! Next I scheduled a trial session (a must do ladies!!). She came to my house and I showed her some pictures of hairstyles and makeup that I liked from magazines. For the makeup, I wanted something really natural. I wanted to look like myself but like a million times better version of myself. The hair was a half up half down style with loose waves. She nailed it!! Everything turned out way better than I could have ever imagined!! I decided to go out that night, and everything held up so well!
Then came my wedding day. I was so relaxed because I knew I was in good hands. She got me ready in a very timely manner and because none of my friends could figure out my crazy complicated, lace up dress, she even helped with that too.

Am i using alot of exclamations? Im just that excited about well amazing she is!! I'm telling you, Sarah really knows her stuff!! If I ever have another day need to get "done up,". I will fore call Sarah again!!!!
