History
From 1848, The Felt Factory was home to the Frogmoore Mills. The adjacent Frankford Creek used to power the factory’s machinery. For years it was one of the few felt mills located in the United States and its fabric goods were shipped all across the country. From the 1920s, it was operated by the Philadelphia Felt Company, until Romano’s Catering gained ownership in the 1980s. Since then, it has been a premier destination for weddings and events in the Philadelphia area.
